Just as a heads up, I bought 12 bottles, 2 of which were the Isla Negra Merlot. Despite it hinting that you get 25% off in addition to the 2 for £9 deal when you select it, I noticed that it's charging £5 per bottle after checkout.

has anyone tried a price match? Asda are selling the 6 for £25 and previously Tesco have price matched and then taken 25% off!

Tried this yesterday with an £8 wine in Tesco that is £5 in Asda plus on the 6 for £25 offer and there is no glitch this time. They take the 25% off the wine and then price match with brand guarantee on the 6 for £25. Last time it was 25% off then brand guarantee on the bottle price. My brand guarantee reduction was just under £12 for my entire shop - was hoping for £18 on the wine!

I can confirm that the 2 for £9 discount doubles up, and the 25% comes off the original price.
As shown on receipt - the £5.25 wine is the Lions Gate Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz,.
£33.50*.75 - £1.50 = £23.63.
If you were to do this for 6 bottles of the Lions Gate:
£5.25*6 = £31.50
£31.50*0.75=£23.63
£23.63-£4.50=£19.13.

Bought 96 bottles for around £350. I always stocks for the next 6-9 months when the offer is on.
It's not like the wine goes off or anything. Well not in that timeframe anyway.
Just getting close to finishing the 96 bottles I bought in summer 2016, so this was good timing.

Luckily we have a big spec under the stairs. Between myself and the missus we drink 3 bottles per week, so 96 bottles will see us through until Xmas.
I need to buy another 36 bottles to get me to April 2018 when this offer is hopefully run again.
