I could but I would be using it for my electric vehicle Charging. Which is rated 13amp and pulls at max load for 6 hrs, rather than a few secs peak load. Only once did I use a 13a extension roll and after 10 minutes I stopped as the whole reel was very hot. Although on the second attempt I completely unwinded it and it got warm instead of melting hot.

What ev are u charging. Nissan Leaf chargers are 10amp rated. They reduce the amp from 2014. Also can buy evse charger that u can adjust the amp all the way down to 6amp .

I really wish they wouldn't sell 10amp extension leads, people don't know enough about current to use these safely. Pulling 13amp through one over more than a few minutes will result in them getting very hot. There are lots of appliances over 10amps (eg garden shredders) that people will try to use things like this with. Yes the fuse will likely blow, but too many people will just replace a 10amp fuse with 13 amp one. And with more people using these for charging electric vehicles (which can draw a pretty constant 13amps over a long period of time), expect lots more electrical fires....

This thing is amazing. I was so sick of taping up the cord ends and untaping them after them after Christmas and dealing with all the sticky stuff the tape left behind.
