Nope. You are wrong. Op title says 15% OF everything not OFF. Therefore if you buy something, you only get 15% of it.

Nope... your Maths is not quite right..... if you need 2m, they will give you 1.7m (30cm less!). You'll just have to get it today before the "15% off everything" comes into effect tomorrow!!

Personally I don't understand why anyone would only want 85% of a product  , but heat added :sunglasses:

Do Wickes offer a cutting service? I'd like to buy some contiboard to add some shelves to my kitchen cupboards but can't cut it to size myself.

Only the bigger DIY stores Wickes, B&Q etc offer a cutting service, so I would imagine not.

Wickes do a price match for 7 days after purchase right ? So I bought a pressure washer from them for 150 quid yesterday if they drop it by 15% tomorrow I can claim the difference ?

I would like to know the answer to this too, as I just bought £200 worth of paving grout yesterday!
otherwise I'll take into store to return and repurchase.

I called the store I bought the items from and asked if they would refund the difference. He said I'd need to come back into the store with all the items and then get a refund and they would then sell them back at the discounted price. Making me lug back 8 15kg tubs of grout is quite annoying where all they'd need is the receipt!

I would call the main wickes order line.

When can I use the Price Match Promise?
Before a purchase from us - If you want to make a claim before you've bought the product from Wickes, we'll ask you for the details of the other price you've found.
After a purchase from us - If you've already bought a product from us and then found it cheaper elsewhere, we can action our Price Match Promise and refund you the difference as long as it is within 7 days of you making your original purchase from us.
The decision to make a Price Match Promise is completely down to the Duty Manager and his or her decision is final and non-negotiable (whether you have proof or not).
Yeah I did mention their price promise they said it only applies to other stores, not their own :/

Slightly off topic. I bought 3 tins of paint from Wickes (£20 each) just over a month ago (in their 3 for 2 promo so paid £40 for 3 tins). Only needed 1 in the end. If I was to take 2 back, how would they process the refund?
englands28 to Gollywood
13 Apr 171#44
Is it not 30 days for a full refund, Does it say anything on the back of the receipt ?
sefgrt123 to Gollywood
14 Apr 17#51
Probably divide the price between 3 and give you a third back for each
Ben95
13 Apr 17#45
Its averaged out. So its £40/3 to give the price for one tin. So you'd get about £13.30 back. Plus the items are refundable upto 6 months as long as they've not been opened.

Actually they can be quite competitively priced on some items. Been quite a few occasions where my various trade suppliers couldn't believe the price and were even more surprised when I told them it was from Wickes. And thats before the 10% trade discount at Wickes.
Obviously for other items the price is ridiculous (LED GU10s for example), but it's so easy to check these days from the comfort of your own home.
Where I find them particularly good is when there's a jump in price of an item. Lets say dense blocks. Trade suppliers tend to track manufacturers price changes quite closely, whereas Wickes can have a significant lag.
Ironically their trade arm Travis Perkins are almost always over priced, often against Wickes aswell :/

Agree. Exactly my experience reg Wickes.
Also surprising how uncompetitive and arrogant Travis Perkins are. I went in there expecting the trade merchants to be cheaper than Retail but not on a single ocassion found them cheaper than Wickes. Not to mention the r*t*rds in shop, who were up their own a*se.
