I've been waiting for this one to drop in price for a while. One of the best games on the Vita, IMHO, and all the price drops on Vita games recently are helping me fill out my collection. And, if you already bought WipEout HD for the PS3, you get all those as a track pack for free, too.
The game's still only £3.99 for non PS+ subscribers, which is an absolute bargain for this...

Steal!
If you have HD & Fury for the PS3, you get the extra tracks / events for free on this

Ah, that's probably why I got them free, then, nothing to do with my PS+ sub. I'll update the OP.

This game is included in the upcoming Omega HD Collection right? Even so, at that price I'd be a fool to pass up on this.

is that collection on the vita?
I haven't heard of it... I need to google this! ha.
Cheers and heat - already had this and the two expansions but from looking it up saw both the ps one classic and both psp versions are reduced too so snapped them all up for about £7.
Some cracking deals on the psp/vita compatible games at the mo also got Manhunt 2, Midnight club and gangs of London fairly cheap.

Good game this. Think it's the only vita game I have with online multiplayer

I hate to say this, as a long time Nintendo fan as well, but having played FAST RMX on a Switch recently this still beats it hands down. FAST is well worth having if you only have a Wii U or Switch, but WipEout is still where it's at
Agreed Fast RMX is great but it is nothing compared to Wipeout 2048! So much more depth and variety in Wipeout 2048. Earlier Wipeout games had a brutal difficultly curve at the higher classes but in 2048 for me they absolutely got it nailed perfectly.
Would love to have a Wipeout on the Switch, Fast RMX is at least a pretty decent substitute but not the real thing.

Ah yeah, a mate showed me that a while back. It's most of the old Psygnosis/Studio Liverpool folk, as you say...
*edit* sadly still £20k short of the stretch goal for console version on their kickstarter

On the subject of PS Vita, does anyone know the cheapest price I can find a NEW PS Vita Slim from?

I went looking and found they all cost significantly more than the original models. I went for the original model as it has the better OLED screen they dropped for the slim. So long as you can find one with a decent battery you're better off with that model, imho. I regularly see them in CeX around the £90 mark.

Just to clarify,
if you own a digital copy of Wipeout HD, you get the Wipeout 2048 HD DLC,
if you own a digital copy of Wipeout Fury, you get the Wipeout 2048 Fury DLC.
(And obviously if you own digital copies of both, you get both)
This is a great deal, last Vita game I wanted and physical copies are still over a tenner.

Only if you got HD and/or Fury from the PS Store. If you bought them on PS3 disc, you don't get the Vita versions free

Great game with a huge amount of content in the campaign (especially with the two DLCs), but the multiplayer is in my experience unplayable now. If you're lucky and the servers aren't trying to wreck your save, then the lobbies are empty anyway, and it's minimum 4 to start a match... it's a shame they wouldn't let you fill the multiplayer lobbies with bots to get matches going when the player count is down.

coming to console.
Quiet a few of the team helped build a few of the older wipeouts.
