Happened to me just the other day - my LG G4 (which was under warranty), developed the world-famous bootloop issue (an inherent defect on ALL LG G4's). Sent it to LG, they claimed customer induced water damage caused it. Yeah right, and pigs fly.
Sent an escalation email to LG head office, and was simply told to contact trading standards. In other words, calling the customer a liar, and telling them to **** off, just using different words. Never buying LG again, back to HTC I am for my next phone.

Had same issue with my g4 which was rooted and had a custom ROM on. LG courier picked it up and my phone was back with me 3 days later. Found them prompt and efficient to deal with. Samsung is a very different matter

what kind of website is it it doesn't give the specs on there any ideas what they are double the price for a new one so not voting either way most used phones are around half price some less than half price what's the main idea behind this deal.

or you could simply activate it with a free sim then take it out.

that seems to be happening with a few different phone companies, people on here were saying i think it was with the moto g4 when it had ghost touch issues, sent it back & they claimed it was due to water damage too. seems like they know they canfob us off with that

ordered one, are the screens particularly breakable?

I liked the swift a lot. Until I broke the screen on it. Wileyfox said oh don't worry first screen replacement will be free, you just pay to post it... wow... fantastic!!!
Then they sent it back 2 days later and again... wow so fast... except they didn't repair it. They said it was "water damaged" which was ****. I had not even taken the phone out in the rain, so there was no water damage.
I really wanted it fixed so I asked them, how much will it cost? Their answer: we will not repair the screen on a water damaged phone.
So they lied. and they also wouldn't repair it even if i offered to pay for it. Phone is great, as long as you have no problems with it then you might as well toss it in the bin. The only sucky thing is the camera app, but you can download a different app.
Just in case anyone isn't aware as well... amazon warehouse means the phone has been opened and used, and returned.

It will but connect to computer only and not easy. It states insert sim when you turn on iPhone if no sim inserted and stays at that screen till you do (well on new models anyway. I have a 6s).

Isn't it simple enough to get a cheap/free pay as you go phone and just use that then pop the sim out?

14 Mar 17#18
That is not true --> You can activate an iPhone without a SIM but it's a faff (you have to hook it up to a computer with iTunes installed, and iTunes is one of the most hated pieces of software in my world)

If you keep your phone in your back pocket, it's actually pretty easy to fling it out as you stand up again.. though I'll stress that's not from personal experience
Alternatively, maybe he was using it on the loo and simply dropped it!

What's the condition like? Some amazon warehouse items have been in bad condition for me in the past. I imagine phones are like new?

Hi Op - I find the crystal type cat litter works much better for drying out electronics. But make sure it's fresh...

Happens to all lower end android devices I find. Mix of cached stuff building up (my moto G4 was playing up, went to clear it as I hadnt done in awhile and was 4gb in size) and general bloat that happens over time due to poorly coded apps - sadly the only way to really get rid of it all is a factory reset and not restoring data/apps. Obviously more expensive phones mitigate this as when you have those 4gb RAM/64gb storage devices with fast processors its hard to saturate even with bloat.

These are used but may have minor marks on them. Each one has a separate description. E.g. Used with small marks on back. I have one but it has not been running as well as it did initially. This may be since the operating system(cyanogen) has stopped getting regular updates. Wileyfox say they are working on this but not much has happened since xmas.
