Take a good few steps back then run at it as fast as you possibly can. Shouting like a mad man is rumoured to help

Good price but they are only 2.1a shared charging, meaning in my house with 3 mobiles, 3 tablets these would generally have two items charging meaning only 1 amp charging. Too slow for me.

I agree. Spend a bit more and get twin 3.1A chargers. This is a cheap model that shares a single 2.1A charger between the two sockets. I got mine from Aldi.
From the site. "USB Ports (2.1A) sockets share the output of a single 2.1A 5V transformer circuit, so if you connect to only one of the USBs then this entire amount is available to the device but when two devices are connected it will be shared between them"

I read somewhere that even if not in use the USB drain power.....anyone know how much this actually costs on your electric bill...or is it negligible?

It's that small amount you couldn't calculate it.

I doubt it makes much difference for most people - overnight charging means 1 amp is fine.

How difficult is it to mount / connect it?
Is it a DIY sort of thing, replacing a regular socket?
Sorry if I sound very ignorant.

Silly question but if you leave the charging cable in the usb socket after charging, is there a risk of fire? at least with a plug you switch it off at the socket?
