I bought these at Christmas for full price but had to return them as the instructions were so tiny we couldnt read them (nor could the manager at my local Argos!) so we were unable to set them - tried getting instructions online but to no avail..... sure some may be able to get them to work without the instructions though! A lot of reviews on the Argos website highlight this problem so don't think it was just me.

These are cheap. just paid £8.39 in screwfix for 1 unit although instructions were readable. you need to charge up their memory for 14 hours before use, then reset them following which you can set the time and settings. i admit it i didnt have the instructions they would have required a bit of trial and error....

Good price, and all you do is take a picture of the instructions and then enlarge on your chosen device #simples

The world belongs to the young. All you old people with poor eyesight shouldn't be out the house anyway.

I've just installed them (after dusting off me olde electron microscope)... They are indeed Masterplug-branded; they are slim enough to be put next to each other into an extension lead. The programming is pretty straightforward as they allow a choice from ten different blocks of days to be set in one go... Let's hope they do a good job.
