What is the read write speed spec for this card?

Does anyone know the IOPS performance for this card? Does it exceed the new "App Class" performance standard for SD cards to be used as android "adaptable storage", or is it best used as extra space to read and write media files?

Sequential write speed are about 30MB/s. The 90 MB/s you quote for read speeds are only a theoretical maximum - the real world, read speeds will be slower but that doesn't really matter as read speeds are rarely a bottleneck.

If the price of HDD/TB or Micro SD/MB is higher now it does not mean it is not going down sometimes in the future if the new SD, higher capacity faster is coming to the market.

Also when they are doing special offer, flash sale, boxing day sale, black Friday etc. The price will be cheaper for sure.

So rather than it being "utter tosh" you're agreeing with us - prices have went up recently and as everyone else knows - myself included - its because of the weak pound predominantly related to the Brexit vote.

The reality is though, its a decent enough deal that deserves its HOT status. The item may have been cheaper (under different economic conditions) in the past, and it may well be cheaper in future (consumer electronics generally get cheaper over time) but right now its a pretty good deal. I ordered one. I've it in my laptop now. I needed it now, and this seems the best price at the moment. A month from now and 50p cheaper is no good to me.

Or it could be HUKD voters are fickle & can go either way depending how theyre feeling, what the weather is like, whether dinner was cold when they got home...... etc etc :smirk:

The weakener of pound against currencies where the HDD are manufactured effect the current HDD price.

What is for certain is that the price / TB of HDD will keep falling down based on Moore's law. This is a "LAW" which apply to any gadget / electronic devices made from IC, CPU, micro processors, transistors, HDD is on the center of this law. Anyone who challenge this will need to face the law.

Also when to buy it is also crucial. When they are on sale, such as flash sale, Amazon lightning deal, clearance offer, etc you will get it cheaper.

If you need it now you do not need other people to make decision for you. All you need to do is to look into the best price currently available on the market.

Good example I bought 55" 4k TV from Argos for, just about last month. But now price is t least £500 anywhere
