I use one in mine, all I can say is that it works, can't really say how well it works for larger digital games, but I've downloaded the Snipperclips demo and works fine.

The spec certain makes it a good fit switch.. but haven't tried it myself yet..
A month or so ago, the price of SD Cards was generally a lot cheaper. I purchased a 32GB PNY card for £6.99, or could have got a 64GB card for £12.99 (both Class 10 U1). However, prices for SD Cards currently seem to be sky-rocketing and you can easily pay £15 - £20 for a 64GB Class 10 U1.
So a 64GB U3 card for £15.99 at today's prices seems like quite a good deal to me.
Hope that explains

Decent price, heat added and not long ordered it - been looking at a 32GB Micro, so this is even better!

Does anyone know the IOPS performance for this card? Does it exceed the new "App Class" performance standard for SD cards to be used as android "adaptable storage", or is it best used as extra space to read and write media files?
App Class standards are a minimum of
Read speed:1500 IOPS
Write speeds: 500 IOPS
Sustained transfer rate: 10MB/s

when I inserted into my moto g4, I did get a message saying the memory card inserted is slow. im using it for adaptable storage and its miles faster than a U1 class 10. my apps would hang when loading from sd but on this card they load up after a second or two. no hanginbg or crashes.

Sequential write speed are about 30MB/s. The 90 MB/s you quote for read speeds are only a theoretical maximum - the real world, read speeds will be slower but that doesn't really matter as read speeds are rarely a bottleneck.

I do appreciate some people may have difficultly understanding long words (or even short words, for that matter).
Perhaps a simple picture would make it easier for you to understand? Here goes, and if you need any further explanation of the facts, don't hesitate to ask.

Be careful what sd card you buy. From what I've read some of the 64gb images do not fit on a 64gb memory card. You can use berryboot to boot to an image on an external hard drive. Unfortunately though I only have the original pi where the USB drives don't carry enough power for an external hard drive.

Very simple. Blame brexit, blame the weakening of pounds against other currencies in Asia where the HDD are manufactured and imported to the UK.
Two years ago I could get 5TB HDD for £100. The price even reached as low as £89.
Your graphics is ranging for over a year. Te value of Pound is not much changing last month and this month.
If the price is high now, just wait it will go down again when they are doing a promotional offer.

Simple. Some people here are voting without doing their own research.
It is widely known that the temperature here on HUKD is sometimes pointless.
This is decent price not a bargain. Pople who could wait, just play a waiting game, you will get it cheaper at some point in the near future when they do promotional offer, or lightning deal with Amazon.
Does anyone know if this would be suitable for a DJI Mavic Pro? Appreciate any advice.

Of course the price for new product will be going up to keep up with inflation.
But the old drive, price / TB will keep going south. Unless someone could prove that Moore's law is incorrect.
Having said I am aware that the price of HDD is £20/TB is quite stable in the last two years and has not moved yet. But It does not mean it will not in the future. Otherwise Moore's law is incorrect ...

Prices for memory cards or usb sticks gone up by at least 30%... so don't talk about inflation please

Didn't work for me either on the Pi0-W but OK using Pi0.
Is the price going up ? No
Why? Because at the time I bought it they are on sale, on promotional offer not because the price is going up.
In general it is highly unlikely the price of items such as HDD, Smart HDTV us going up. Because the technology is changing fast and the new model, new technology (for TV), higher capacity (for HDD) are coming to the market

You just keep saying same things without even checking camelcamel price history for memory cards... You could buy 64mb micro sd card for £10-12 last year, now you have to pay at least £15-16 in promo.I have posted hundreds of deals for memory cards and usb sticks here in recent years, so I know what I'm talking about
If the price of HDD/TB or Micro SD/MB is higher now it does not mean it is not going down sometimes in the future if the new SD, higher capacity faster is coming to the market.
Also when they are doing special offer, flash sale, boxing day sale, black Friday etc. The price will be cheaper for sure.

17 Mar 17#38
Looks like you have some kind of obsession with Moore's law but cannot see reality when talking about memory cards trying to be blind at every example provided... sad.
Yes, in case of some special offer or flash sale price might be lower but not even close to last years level
Even old models like Samsung Evo U1 card costs much more than before...

So rather than it being "utter tosh" you're agreeing with us - prices have went up recently and as everyone else knows - myself included - its because of the weak pound predominantly related to the Brexit vote.
The reality is though, its a decent enough deal that deserves its HOT status. The item may have been cheaper (under different economic conditions) in the past, and it may well be cheaper in future (consumer electronics generally get cheaper over time) but right now its a pretty good deal. I ordered one. I've it in my laptop now. I needed it now, and this seems the best price at the moment. A month from now and 50p cheaper is no good to me.

Price has gone up 50 pence as well in the last 3 days ...!!! - Whats this down too ?? :stuck_out_tongue:
I agree that is a decent price, but not a bargain.
The weakener of pound against currencies where the HDD are manufactured effect the current HDD price.
What is for certain is that the price / TB of HDD will keep falling down based on Moore's law. This is a "LAW" which apply to any gadget / electronic devices made from IC, CPU, micro processors, transistors, HDD is on the center of this law. Anyone who challenge this will need to face the law.
Also when to buy it is also crucial. When they are on sale, such as flash sale, Amazon lightning deal, clearance offer, etc you will get it cheaper.
If you need it now you do not need other people to make decision for you. All you need to do is to look into the best price currently available on the market.
Good example I bought 55" 4k TV from Argos for, just about last month. But now price is t least £500 anywhere
Is it the price of this TV going up now ?? No. If you could play a waiting game you will get it cheaper sometimes in the future.
