Got the game when it came out. Don't play it much due to little time to play but if you have a lot of time and enjoy open world's and don't mind slightly repetitive gameplay it's good. £25 is probaly ideal but you can easily get 40-60 hours worth of game time

£34 is such a bargain I pre ordered it last year with fifa last year in the 2 for £70 pre orders and used clubcard points to lower the price

Yep, there are some repetitive missions, but in what way does the map all look the same? Unless you're still in the initial starting area, It's got jungle, towns, mountain peaks, snow, desert etc
It's not the best game ever for sure, but I've enjoyed my time in it so far. I'll look into farm simulator though, when they patch it with synchronized head shots.

They never cured the peoples gripes in the beta and using the vehicles is still GTA style. pants

Much of a solo player's game?
I dont really play online, but saw this game round a friend's house and looked good. I'm into all the stealth play and that

I played the beta and took the stealth approach to the missions available. Was satisfying. Freed a hostage undetected and stole the enemy's helicopter. Was quite crazy how you could just board a chopper and go anywhere.

I've had this game since day one and I am very much enjoying it. The game is as repetitive as any game in it's genre. Got FIFA? All you do is play football. Play COD? All you do is shoot people. Got Uncharted? All you do is run and jump and murder endless amounts of bad guys.
I actually think this game gets better the more you try different approaches. So for one mission, play it full stealth. the next, go in guns blazing, the next try using the rebels to distract whilst you poach a chopper or interrogate a hostage.
The story missions are good fun and move the game along too, and whenever you want you can have fun with side missions such as stopping convoys or shutting down radios, of course you can even just take a chopper to the highest point of the game and free fall all the way down just for fun.
It's far from perfect though, the AI is laughable at times and i've been stuck in the scenery multiple times. I wish the land traversal would be more fluid like tomb raider or uncharted as you have to be in perfect line with things and press X to cross but that's a small thing. I find the vehicles satisfying mostly, the choppers though can handle a little bizarrely. I do wish you could switch between each member of your squad and position them in their own spaces, and that they each had their own skills, eg sniper, explosive expert, assassin etc. Also, the enemies are true copy and paste grunts. None move slower than others or even look different, it would have been nice to see some variation to make it feel more 'real' it would also be great to see some more female characters too. There are some nice NPC moments but it would be better if you were rewarded for stopping an attack against a local, or for spontaneously lending a group of rebels support.
As for playing solo vs co-op, I find solo satisfying, especially with the added bonus of the 'skill shot' effectively meaning you can take out 4 visible enemies at once, but co-op play has a much larger advantage of being able to attack from multiple positions.
For me this is a good game with a vast open world. It needs a much bigger and better skill tree though a few more improvements here and there, but well worth this price.

Absolutely nailed on. One of my absolute favorite games is MGSV and its basically repeat over and over, extract soldier, extract prisoner, etc etc. Being a dated title though with MGSV, I would have thought Ubisoft may have done a bit more with the concept in wildlands. Like if you take a enemy in ghost recon without killing him, you should be able to hand him over to the rebels for conversion.
And they should have emphasised more of the game on stealth like extra bonus or trophys unlocks for taking outposts or missions in total silence like hitman or splinter cell.
Think they rolled a lot of titles into one here.
Feels like Gta meets far cry 3.
