Thanks, I've still got some sims on the 321 plan which come with 200mb of data free each month. Never topped them up and the 200mb can be used on the feel at home too!

Thanks that's very detailed, still don't really get the whole VPN thing though. I often tether a windows 10 laptop, with no issues. I do have the wifi hotspot set to "metered" though, maybe that means windows doesn't send any identifiable packets which could lead to being blocked?

Three is great when it comes to cheap tarrifs, better customer service among the main networks however when you need real speed such as 3g or 4g while on the move, it lacks a great deal compared to others. If you are serious about network speeds and 4g coverage look elsewhere if you are an average user and not too fussed about network speeds or you don't travel across cities than this is the best deal you can get. Hot from me.

Is this £9 per month and no other payment

I took out this deal a few days ago. TopCashback tracked at £45 the next day. The only downside to this deal is no feel at home but I'm still well chuffed. I was paying £41 a month for the same thing (but with feel at home) so am saving £31 a month. Martin Lewis would be well impressed!!

How do you go about switching to a deal like this? I am on a 30 day rolling contract right now so if I sign up for this can I set my start date to be a month from now or do I end up with paying for both for the first month?

2 Apr 17#11
Not unlimited minutes, 'tis 600, but still a very good deal, but as others have said tcb not reliable in the slightest.
HankHandsome
2 Apr 17#12
I've got the same deal - it is unlimited minutes.
RoosterNo1
2 Apr 17#13
It IS unlimited mins.... and you can cap it, so you cannot overspend - unless you use it abroad, or on new years eve (true !)

Need some help guys and girls. Iv been on o2 for many years and currently on rolling monthly of £8 which I get 500mb. Do you recon I make this move to 3. For an extra pound I can get 4gb data. But what happens after the 12 month contract. Any one pass they 12 month contract shed some light here. Thanks
HankHandsome
2 Apr 17#16
it will most likely just become a 30 day rolling contract as you'll have passed the required 12 month period.
stapsell
2 Apr 17#17
I would simply request a PAC code from O2 to keep your number. They will tell you pretty quick if you are not out of contract, they may offer you more data to stay. Then order this three SIM card by logging into quidco or topcashback website (for cash back) and searching for three, then clicking through. When your SIM arrives a couple of days later you install the new SIM and use the three app to activate the PAC and transfer the number on a given date. Then carry on with your previous SIM until it goes dead on switch day a couple of days later. Good luck!

What's 'feel at home'?

2 Apr 17#19
I would make sure the Threes signal is ok where you live before you take the plunge Threes signal is good where i live but O2 not so good Also as someone said the deal will stay with you on a 30 day sim only after your 12mths contract is up or you can just give 30 days notice and leave.

My bad, soz, was looking at the higher gb data plan at 12 pounds per month, that's the 600 min per month :disappointed:

it's a perk that allows you to use your texts minutes and data allowance while in a feel at home country. brilliant for data I can download gbs and not have to worry about data roaming charges. tethering is no longer allowed I found that out in December :disappointed:

Is there an addon to get Feel At Home temporarily when you actually do need it? Or would you have to upgrade your tarrif?

3 Apr 17#24
I don't think so. I am going to use my existing PAYG SIM from three with a £10 add on lasting 30 days and with 1gb. I just want some data for maps, translation etc while in Italy for a couple of days. I think this will work out better value...Just a bit of faffing with SIM cards.

Agree, that's what I'm considering, but pending my question in previous post. Big bonus is it also includes Feel at Home and Tethering. The deal is posted here, but strangely not hot - hotukdeals.com/dea…250 (Appears the cashback was £5 more a few days back, or perhaps difference with a 'pro' member on TCB?).

4 Apr 17#32
I have an existing line with Three (wife's phone but in my name) and my order tracked fine yesterday.
HankHandsome
4 Apr 17#33
i think you'll get an email saying that it's tracked, or if not, go to your dashboard to see the list of recent transactions.
It'll then be put "on ice" for 3 months before being submitted to 3 for verification, so you'll be looking at probably July.
Then you'll have a minimum of a 4 week period on top of that to wait for them to verify it.
I bought this deal via TCB back in October 2016 with £25 cashback and I'm still waiting for it. I think it'll be exactly 6 months in about a fortnight.
deeky
4 Apr 17#34
Yeah, I hadn't seen that till I got on the TCB Three page. That deal is strangely lukewarm. Maybe it doesn;t suit everyone. Minutes are less important than the data for me, and the Feel at Home and tethering are a great bonus. I'm well chuffed.

4 Apr 17#36
I'd think more data and FaH and tethering appeal more....might just be (another) HUKD oddity  Even without the cashback it's a better deal than they're offering me as a customer of 7yrs plus, a bit frustrating. I'd like to wait for my existing contract to end....but that's the best part of 30 days away so I may take a punt on this. No idea how long it will be around for, I don't think there are any indicators(?)

Sign up for account with quidco. Then from quidco site follow a link through to three website and choose the essentials £9 SIM as described. The cashback is not guaranteed, but good chance of getting £50 a few months later.

Same, I have got 2 months left on my £10 tesco contract but I decided to just get it in the bag. As it is now I go abroad 2 or 3 times a year and have to top up a PAYGO Three sim, so I'm saving there as well. I'll pay it off and get my pac code when my sim comes.

Have any existing Three customers tried to take this out as a new contract and had the cashback track? I can only see in the terms you can't use a voucher code not listed by TCB, they don't say you can't be an existing customer(?)

£55 from TCB tracked at full rate within 30 mins  Happy days
Gone for the 8gb/600/UL text for £12, works out at £7.42 after cashback. A steal.

This is correct when going from Three PAYG taking your number to a contract SIM. I did it last week, took under 10 hours.

Lets wait and see if others have their cashback declined. If this happens to lots of people then I can foresee quite a few angry comments here at hotukdeals.
A fair few people, myself included, went for this deal based purely on the promised cashback. If the cashback is refused then I'll be well p****d off.
