Just a heads-up that the quality is diabolically bad!
For Wuaki 'HD' means 720p and stereo (2.0) sound. And I hate to think how low the bitrate is.
A blu-ray will take a giant steaming dump all over this garbage.

3 years (at least)
So basically you own it except if Wuaki close down you are left with sweet FA, and after three years you probably have nothing too.
Thank god for DVDs & Blu-Rays eh?
Cold for me, sorry.

False. The 3 year clause is for changes in digital rights, for example if a films rights were purchased by a different company that wuaki didn't have a contract in place with, then they might have to pull the content (depending on deals being reached). If the content is pulled you will still have access to the purchase for 3 years. Other than that (and that rule apply a to most digital stores) the purchase is yours for ever.

Are these films linked to UV as well (I know Wuaki now are but not all films are)? If so that opens up playback options to other sites/apps also linked with UV as well.

I thought wuaki dropped UV on the 7th March? At least that's what their customer support told me when i contacted them a few weeks ago...

Wuaki addressed the 3 year thing in this article. It's a minimum not a maximum.
I really like Wuaki, but there aren't any subtitles!

so could potentially still be a three year rental then..?

13 Mar 17#15
Well potentially the world could end before then and you wouldn't even get your three year rental. It's not the way to bet though. Wuaki have just been foolish enough to make explicit what is implicit with all these digital download services.

Not UV so who knows how long you'll be able to access these (buyer beware)

Maybe they did, I can't see any mention of it on the main parts of their site and I have a fair sized UV collection which is not showing on Wuaki now. However Google brings me to this page, contractual conditions last updated November 2016, showing the Ultraviolet links. If I click 'terms of use' on the homepage, I get a completely different set of terms and conditions that were updated in December 2014. So it is anyones guess what terms and conditions they would ever try to enforce if you had a real complaint against them.
But in short, yes my UV library has disappeared from my Wuaki. Searched my email and found the message where it had imported my UV library, clicked one of the movie links and Wuaki wants me to buy it again.

They dropped uv support on 1/3/17, I've opened a flixster video account where all my uv films appear on tablets and mobiles and a cinema now account for my roku stick, if that helps anyone.

Because of this post I just checked iTunes, it's been dropped to £19.99 on there. Yesterday it was £39.99.

Was tempted but ended up picking all 8 films from music magpie for £10.65 with last 2 being dvd and Blu-ray. Never seen the films so will watch and then sell at car boot. Cheaper than renting via a streaming service and no interest in owning digital copies.

It's not false, you're only guaranteed ownership for 3 years
