Good game. As said above, don't look for spoilers. If you are struggling in one area, walk to another. It's hard at times but not impossible.

And for those who attempt it - good luck with The Challenge!

It may be worth clarifying that the games aren't "random" as such - it's a curated bundle, typically with well-rated games (don't expect top-name "AAA"s, of course), but aside from the headline game, the bundle contents aren't revealed in advance.

Never really been interested in any of the humble monthly bundles, they just seem to me that they just throw a few games in there that aren't selling much anymore. Humblebundle seem to just really do strategy, puzzle and retro looking games in their bundles and don't seem to cater for everyone.
Last bundle I got was the Bandai Namco bundle.

Can someone explain this monthly subscription thing to me please?
Obviously you sign up and get the main game (the witness) but then where do these other games come from that are included? Do you just get some random games later in the month or is there a list somewhere? All i can see is previous months bundles.
Thanks in advance.

You subscribe, you get the witness and then I think it's the end of the month you get the rest of the games (random games, they don't tell you in advance, normally the 'RRP' is over $100)

like a big Zelda dungeon, great game

I hope this doesn't set a precedent. One of the main reasons I stay subscribed to the Humble Monthly is due to them specifically stating that no game that has previously featured in a humble bundle will be in a monthly. Also, I'd rather just get charged $7.

Twelve months of obnoxious pricing and suddenly The Witness has whored itself out.
Lowest ever Steam price, instantly followed by a bundle, now it's the March headliner!
Aside from Rive the latest was bitterly disappointing so I'll be cancelling again.

would have been a bit better if they did Subnautica, seeing as thats the main one a lot of people missed out on from that big bundle

That really frustrated me. As I owned a chunk of the games in the Freedom Bundle anyway, I hesitated before buying, essentially based on the strength of Subnautica being one of the few decent titles I didn't own from previous bundles, steam sales etc. I decided to buy it... only to find that they had removed it.

Yeah I was a bit miffed Subnautica went OOS, was a day too late. The Witness isn't enough for me to opt in, imagine if they throw in Subnautica later though (however unlikely that is).

Good, whatever you do don't go looking for spoilers.
If you remotely like the look of it from the trailer you will love it.

The bundle price is $12.00, not $12.99.

XCOM2 and Total Warhammer were great, but I have this one.
For those that bought the $30 Freedom bundle, this can be $7 (£5.70), rather than $12 (£9.76) if you don't want The Witness again and are happy to bank $5 in the Humble Store. The bundle has games 'worth over $100' and The Witness is $39.99, so they would be punting $7 (£5.70) on 5 unknown games apparently 'worth over $60.01' (£48.82), hmm.

What are people's opinions on March's bundle?

Warhammer great, everything else steam library fodder. That's just my view of course, but I just don't like any of the other games this month. I can't complain for a tenner for warhammer, but did feel a twinge of disappointment.

having tried Humble monthly for the first time I was very disappointed with the selection, especially as previous ones had at least some good games that interested me.

rare time I'm going to have to vote cold on a monthly bundle I think. The main game obviously being in that other very recent bundle is a bit poop, and so only committing to a blind purchase for most people (of course still good for those that missed out before though).
Very disappointed with the bundled games that have just come in the previous bundle too (well apart from 1 that looks interesting)

I understand your reasoning, but that being said if you did buy the freedom bundle, they do offer you $5 credit

I think the downturn started when I subscribed for 3 months just before Christmas. It's been mostly garbage since, so I can only offer my sincere apologies for ruining it for everyone.

Not sure I'm willing to take the punt on this one. $12 for a $5 discount coupon and 5 mystery games doesn't really appeal. If the 5 games are as good as Jan/Feb, great. If they're like March's then I'm not so sure.

Also you have the choice for steam or DRM free copy of your that way inclined.

The bundle price is $12.00, not $12.99.
The Witness Metacritic: 87% (20 critics, 6.7 from 406 users), Steam: Very Positive 85% (3291 reviews)

I have no idea what this game is about after watching those steam video trailers
I don't think I could commit to that
You may want to mention the $5 credit for purchasers of the Freedom Bundle.
$5 credit available for those who bought the Freedom Bundle.
Well, at least I got the price right
