I guess that depends if you want one with scratches on that someone else has sweated on really.

I was lucky enough to win one of these along with a PS4 and the camera....But to be honest as good as it is, it's just sat gathering dust now.

Typical blinkered comment as soon as someone sees used in the title. Used items can be in really good condition, especially with Amazon Warehouse where a lot of the time they aren't even used at all, had numberous "used" items come with their seals still intact!
Heated, great price for this...

Amazon used items dont carry the manufacturer's warranty...as advised my Amazon.
derp1664 to 5Rivers79
29 Mar 173#10
Yes but if you really look into it, warehouse items actually come with a 12-month warranty and knowing Amazon they would probably even accept it within 2 years. Amazon always go above and beyond (if you are polite and reasonable, ofc)

It does say it's scratched in the description though? With a premium product like this I wouldn't really want to buy anything less than "very good" but that's me personally and I'm sure someone else will jump on this deal

29 Mar 171#7
...but this one might have been used and if so will have been on someones head. Its a bit different to buying a 'used' item that is not wearable.

it's a good deal if you really want one you can always send it back if it's in poor condition when you get it. if you have the cash pay an extra £30 for brand new.

85% positive feedback for Amazon Warehouse, eh. Most other sellers would be shut down for that.

They have sold over 875,000 items, you are never going to get 100% feedback with that amount of sales , all the Amazon wharehouse items I've bought have been in excellent condition

100% agree, would never buy a pair of trainers/headphones/clothes etc. unless they are new, especially for this much money, the accessory that costs more than the console haha!

Price is the best you can hope for at present. The 120hz OLED screens are not cheap and that's why they are priced accordingly. Having said this I bought a load of these out the warehouse before Christmas at £260 each but that was because they had the 20% discount on. Most were still sealed, some had missing cardboard innards. Only 1 had a missing cable and it was the USB cable which I reported to Amazon and they reduced it by 15% for me to keep. Easily replaceable.

That's also pretty blinkered to say that it will arrive in great condition. Amazon warehouse is always hit and miss. More miss than hit nowadays from my personal point of view. I have had a box arrive with no item inside and other times amazing bargains. Bit of a lottery really.

The light shield is removable, so a good wipe down with antibacterial wipes on both the headset and light shield will make that a non issue.
Also, all this talk about scratches, does it really matter? it's on your head.....

That's not how feedback percentages work. They don't go down the more you sell, they should be consistently high.

Each to their own I suppose but if I was buying used items on Amazon, the only seller I would buy from is Amazon marketplace, any problems when it arrives and you send it back for a full refund, no questions asked
DannGo to souljacker
29 Mar 17#31
That's the case with any seller on Amazon. Amazon are very strict and always side with buyers, never the sellers. Often when the buyer is at fault, too. This is coming from experience.
You should feel safe buying from any selller, especially ones with many positive feedbacks. You'll get much better service from them in the long run than Amazon Warehouse deals.

With Amazon paying return shipping and their customer service standards which are second to none, you literally have nothing to lose. I would still buy from them if their feedback rating was far less than 85%. User reviews include the same people who leave 1 star product reviews for late delivery / DOA / etc after all
Each to their own though.

i'd hope to see a new set with camera and move controllers come out soon but sony have stopped making both and are only just catching up on production of the headset - i'm really hoping for a v2 release of this tech as all reviews have stated that the camera and move controllers (which are both years older ps3 tech) aren't up to the job.
doesn;t help that fleamarkets like CEX have put an absurd premium on those items too.

Had one bought several months ago. The headset itself is very comfortable and lightweight and doesn't press against your face because it's weight is distributed around your head and not pressed against your face like goggles.

Still enjoying it from release day. Played Star Dust ultra VR yesterday with it. RES7 is amazing in VR. It's a most have if you own a PS4 or PS4 Pro.
I don't sweat on mine however family and friends have, but it's so easy to clean and sterilize. I would be more worried about any scratches on the lenses.

What I meant by better service, is having items arrive in as described and working condition in the first place. I havn't looked, but I assume most negatives are relating to the quality of the product sold, not the actual service recieved.
I would buy from them too, as I know they will always return/replace anything without an issue. I was simply pointing out that it's a poor feedback percentage and I doubt you'll find many, if any sellers on there with 85% feedback having sold thounds or more items. Double standards by Amazon.

Amazon's receipt does not mention the item is "used", so unless the "used" item has already been registered at the the manufacturers by a previous Amazon customer then you should resist telling the manufacturer it is second hand no matter how tempting it may be!

Just received mine today, brand new without a doubt, all cables tied as if new, disc still in selophane, no marks, fingerprints or scratches, all the plastic peel strips still on. Mine had a 4 cm rip in the outer cardboard. Warehouse damage. Total bargain imo.
I didn't buy because of this thread, but bought yesterday when there was only 2 available, and only stumbled on this thread by chance
