I was tempted by Tronic at Lidl but decided to look somewhere else. You right - not Eneloops but at least brand I actually love and know.

I doubt that it supports any 1-4 combination as there are only two LEDs and there are pair markings on the top. I suspect, it charges 2 or 4 batteries only.
So, not Eneloop :-(

So, Eneloop or Sony or not, charge a single or three, your choice.

I have this charger. It does indeed charge between 1 and 4 cells. Works well but using as a backup.

Does this a Global plug / Euro Plug or adapter or is it a fixed UK plug?
Any help would be appreciated, anyone who owns this can confirm please?

Yes, well known, but not sure why you would love Sony, or any brand?!

hmm are the batteries any good I use an xtar vc4 for my vaping stuff but keep putting AA and AAA in for the kids stuff a 4 pack of batteries is nearly this price so is it worth grabbing or sticking with xtar and buying more eneloops

Excellent charger with batteries. Who cares its not Eneloop. Battery technology would have changed a lot in the next few years so Eneloop will be superseded by something else anyway

What makes you think it will happen in the next few years? They've been promising new battery tech for a good while now but 5 years ago I invested in changing all my AA's to Enerloops and have probably paid for themsleves. I bet you in 2019 there will be packs of 4 x Duracell Alkaline AA's in WHSmiths still?

Bought some Sony AAA batteries about 5 years ago and they were Eneloops rebranded.
Not sure if that's changed now.

No reason why not - specs say anything up to 2700mAh AA batts, brand won't matter.

Anyone used this before? I bought some amazon own brands (which people say are eneloops and they are great. Would sony not be on par?

Although it was about 10 years ago, my last Sony battery charger failed after just over 1 year.
The performance of the Sony batteries dropped away after just a few charges, so I didn't even recover the extra cost of buying rechargeables.
I now insist on Eneloops.

Enveloop brand is not the issue, it's whether they store charge long term like alkalines. That type always come 'ready to use'. For occasional and light use, 'ready to use' rechargeables are best. For heavier daily use, the 2100mAh ones in this deal will be fine.

Rechargeable batteries only last about 5 years max anyway. Most dying a lot quicker. 'Long lasting batteries' would be a better name for them.
