Oh honestley- the CIA 'spying' is a virus that must be installed to your TV via a USB stick. If the CIA are breaking into your home to install a virus on your TV then you have bigger problems than the brand of TV you buy. But if they want to watch me lie on the sofa all night eating crisps then they can knock themselves out.
Back on topic- I have this TV in 55 inches and it's sweet. I love the curve but I know it's not for everyone. Watched Avatar in HD on it last week and it looked amazing- and that's not even from a 4k player. The upscaling seems to work pretty well- BBC content etc plays in HD from iplayer and looks great.

It doesnt fully display HDR as its an 8 bit panel it can accept a HDR signal but cant fully process it
Once again, the KU6500 doesn’t offer the same full range of 4K high dynamic technology as its 2016 SUHD cousins with their compatibility to HDR10 standards. This means that the TV doesn’t deliver the peak luminance of 1100 nits or more and same Wide Color Gamut as those top-shelf 4K HDR TV models do. I wouldn't say a massive difference but does look better! I've played gears of war and now that does look impressive. But usually play non HDR stuff, so battlefield looks great! Its when you come to play Amazon 4K stuff you see the big differences. I didn't want a curve screen but when I compared this to a Sony which was more expensive, I actually preferred it (This was playing the same 4K footage on the same memory stick)
Loads of curve haters, but this was £100 cheaper than the same flat version at the time and I was sold into the gimmick

To translate: PS4 HDR has a darker, higher contrast picture in games. I own this model, tend to push brightness ingame up to 65-70% when using HDR. Makes a mess of anything you want to record though as the colours obviously don't look the same through a non-hdr display.
Real HDR might be good but it's also £400 more expensive so...

an spying malware can be installed wirelessly via internet..no need for someone break in with a USB drive. :wink:
as for the TV,the only thing that stops me from buying it is the curved screen.hate it and it should be forgotten already..just like 3D it's just a marketing gimmick.

If only that was where it begins and ends.. smart phones/laptops/pc's/tv's/games consoles.. basically anything connected to the internet! In the good old days they would have to plant specialist equipment in our homes but now we buy and install it for them saving them loads of time and money.. you take your phone with you everywhere you go that will be the major culprit! It has software that listens to you 24/7 and sends updates of anything you say that might be considered incriminating to a massive data storage unit to be used against us if ever it is required.. we are all guilty until proven innocent in this day and age! Pretty sad situation really but it's the 'smart' age :s if your device says smart on it.. it's probably creating and psychological profile on you for pending analysis as we speak :0 everything you say or type is under constant digital scrutiny and that's the price we pay for national security it is considered for our own 'safety' and the 'safety' of those around us.. it's probably something we all agree to in those privacy policies that we never read! Kirt cobain once wrote "just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't watching you" too true. Stay safe people and remember.. the internet is NOT our friend :disappointed:

The CIAs code for cracking many systems including Samsung TVs has leaked and is circulating on the internet. Whilst the CIA may not wish to spy on you, plenty of other people out there will happily monitor you via your tv microphone/camera and make video of naked adults/children for internet distribution or record discussions that can be used to blackmail you.
There's no need for them to watch or listen to conversations they record - there's software to easily scan for naked bodies from video and flag it up as there's software to transcribe conversations and highlight conversation topics they're interested in.
The same issue applies to computer cameras & microphones of course.

Around new year time, John Lewis dropped the Samsung KS7500 down to £700, that was the 43" model.
With the 2017 models on the horizon, might be worth keeping an eye on the price of that.
Really good tv, I got one for £650, but that was price matching and vouchers. You'd be hard pushed to find a better 43" which is 10bit HDR

yes that's what I'm looking forward to..with release of 2017 models we can only see better deals popping up.
I'm not in rush, quite happy with my 1080 Panasonic Plasma's picture quality.what I really want is an OLED,but I really don't see much point in paying over £1000 anymore all tvs are getting outdated and lose value very fast.I think £600-£650 is the maximum a tv is worth spending money on.
