Probably for the same reason they still make 1080p Monitors and not just 4K monitors in 2017 : Because not everyone is a condescending muppet and don't need the fanciest monitor to make them feel better at night.

Can't see how you would have a problem. Should be fine. Should you not have the same conections from your pc to the monitor just get a cable with the right connection on either side off ebay. Cheap as chips!

My friend has a curved monitor and wouldn't get one again: he told me the screen is shiny and he had to move it to another part of the room because the glare made part of it hard to see in broad dayligt, but now when he switches his standing lamp on in the evening he gets glare in another corner.
Never used a curved screen myself, do other people have similar experience(s)?

60 Hz Refresh Rate... reminds me of the vintage CRTs
For a prolonged work on any screen, a 144 Hz is a must IMHO.
For gaming 144 Hz is great also.
Don't get it why they still make 60 Hz panels in 2017 ?

Yeah because you need 144 Hz for using every day programmes like Chrome and Excel...

No... it really isn't.
60hz Monitors are the most numerous monitors you can buy to date, 144hz monitors are expensive and aren't as common as you seem to believe they are, it cost me £200 for a 144hz monitor which is considered cheap for one... and even then it's an aging "bare bones" Monitor with no Freesync/display port and just a standard 1080p resolution.

CRTs could do much higher than 60Hz. I had one that would 120Hz+ back in 1996, just shows you're talking out of your backside.

144Hz on any games console would a huge waste, since they struggle to even get to 60fps.
