Ready To Go Rechargeable batteries for £2.99 4 x AA or AAA or 2 C or D cells These are Really Good and well worth the money.
I have been using then for about 3 Years now in everything from torches to cameras and all the remotes/clocks and I am well pleased. I use the Lidl Tronic intelligent charger and always get well charged batteries, some of which (Ones for camera) have now been charged over 100 times.
Someone has already posted the LIDL Weekly Deal for all the food items etc but I think these are well worth Highlighting as they only come up 2-3 times a year and not always these Ready To Go Eco Ones, which are the better of the 2 types Lidl sell.
I bought a bunch of these about a year or more ago. All have died. I have much older Eneloops still going strong. I'd rather pay the extra.

If you do a search there are two makers of these batteries, both sold as tronic. One is really good and the other had many complaints. The good ones were made by eures and the bad ones were kompernass. The maker is written in small print on the battery.
Interesting. I have dozens of the tronic batteries inc. the big sexy glittery multicolour christmas ones they do. I'll see what mine are. Not had an issue with either though as already said and I must have a mixture of both.

don't waste your money, bought far too many crappy batteries from tronic, I buy fujitsu now and won't buy anything else now (cheaper than Eneloops but essentially same battery) these might be fine for low powered items but high powered bike lights, power hungry cameras etc no way.

Agreed I wouldn't trust them in anything other than kids toys or basic gadgets.. Never use them in any RC flying craft /model.

I use the AAs in 2 different cameras and they are fine, even better than the Duracell ones I used to use and I have at least 8 or more torches Maglites, Lensers and a few other high lumen torches and they are all fine with the Tronics.

I mostly use eneloop but I did buy some of these a month ago and they do charge up to near enough the stated capacity.

Same here. Also Vapextech are very good batteries. I used the Tronic one's before with mixed results especially when you push a fast charge in.
I have a few of these in AA size and they are OK, but I did have to send a couple of packs back as they were not charging fully.

Lot of rechargeables of all brands do this, don't throw them out, stick them in a cheap basic charger for a few minutes, they pick up a small charge, then they seem to charge fine in a smart charger.

I keep receipts for everything Electrical that I buy, Take them back to LIDL who are always happy to refund or exchange.

Then maybe you are doing something wrong and/or are an eneloop fanboi. Ive had tronic batteries for years that are still going strong.

I have several lots of 4 in AA and AAA sizes plus a couple of 9v ones. all have been fine. OK not the best life I have had, but problem free. Eneloop are OK but nothing to get carried away with bearing in mind the cost.
At worst, you might end up changing batteries an extra once a year in a device, so unless it is in something you need to climb up 50m high, is no great inconvenience for the price.

Awful batteries, died within 18 months using their own charger. Charged less than 50 times.

I have had the odd couple (out of loads over the last few years, mind you) that the Lidl charger has stated are defective and don't charge. I wonder if I had a bad batch, but could also be over-draining, I suppose, as they were in kids' toothbrush or toys etc. and they have a habit of telling me things have died long after!
However, I still think these are great value and have overall saved compared to if I bought Eneloops etc.

They weren't the low self discharge / ready to go version, still labelled Tronic, but are far inferior.

Have to agree with some comments bought 2 packs about 1-2 yrs ago and a number of them take 5 minutes to charge not really then the others take several hours then seem to only hold charge for a week wont buy any more.

Are you allowing the battery to drain to zero? Because you shouldn't allow a nimh or li-ion to completely drain.

Been running their ready to go batteries for 4 years and none have died. The old type normal ones have but I bought them about 10 years ago. These are great.

Yes on that basis, but 16 throwaway at Poundland available for £1. I am trying to compare with Energizer 2300ah equivalent I'm paying £6 for, that are good.
