@mrzootsuit yes. Same as Transformers directed by Michael Bay was incredibly successful at the box office because it was an excellent, well written and directed movie.

So the reason that the Wii U was such an unmitigated financial disaster and sold so incredibly badly was because it was really, really good?
Are you standing on your head?

Yeah, but then the Michael Bay movies are successful. Depends on whether you prioritise numbers over craftsmanship. I tend not to focus too much attention on what is popular, you on the other hand...

Yeah, the Wii U was an incredible success. oh, wait...

Yeah. Between the WiiU and 3DS this gen (for example) games have been limited.. *checks WiiU/3DS library* oh, wait...

Mario, Mario Kart and Zelda, but then that's the same answer for pretty much every console Nintendo have ever released, and yet again proves my point.

Ok. Now you've highlighted half a dozen games which (again) don't interest you, care to pick out some which do? No? I didn't think so. Makes the trolling a lot harder I imagine.
I only hope when a port and/or re-release of a popular games lands on either PS4 or XB1 you are equally as critical, but I doubt it.

Sorry, maybe I should have highlighted the amazing re-release of Rogue Trooper, or the port of World of Goo or the port of Minecraft or the port of Minecraft Story Mode or the re-release of Rayman Legends or Arcade Archives (which is a bunch of re-releases) or the re-release of Skyrim which is now 6 years old, or the incredible demo-game 1-2 switch which lets you live out your wildest fantasy by pretending to milk a cow in front of all of your friends or the zzzzzzZZZZZzzzzZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz...........

So, you chose to focus on the 2 games out of that extensive list that interested you least, just so you could continue the trolling? Pat yourself on the back.
Funny thing being if I highlighted 5 so-called AAA games to be released this year I imagine the comeback would be 'not enough games'. Sad really.

I don't know which one I'm more excited about!!
Othello or Farming Simulator 18!!!!
Boy, you proved me so wrong with that standout list of triple A releases!!
No ea do but Microsoft own rare Nintendo own rights to game and ea the license but Nintendo won't agree on releasing it but ea and Microsoft would , Nintendo wouldn't won't to share profits of game that's all it comes down too

LOL!!
"many great games ... incoming, some presumably unannounced."
????
Thanks for making my argument for me!
"Presumably unannounced" in Nintendo language means "no third party support whatsoever, you just bought a brick that plays Zelda".

First, it's not 'a decent game' but an exceptional one. Second, you aren't paying £280 for one game but a new games console with many great games announced for 2017 incoming, some presumably unannounced.
Nice try however.

It might well be the best game ever, but with Nintendo's track record, paying well over £300 for one decent game is definitely not the best investment ever.
Don't get me wrong, I hope they bring out some good games eventually instead of flooding the market with remakes, but I don't have much hope.

Surely you don't think Nintendo hold the rights to the Bond property?!?

Except (so far) Zelda: ABOTW, arguably the best adventure game of all time and one of the top 10 games of all time (any genre) to boot.

Phil Spencer has come out and said he would like to see Banjo-Kazooie as a playable character in Super Smash Bros and Microsoft have a good partnership with Nintendo when it comes to Minecraft. They allowed Nintendo to do Mario themed DLC for Minecraft so I guess anything is possible!
He also came out and said he would like to see Mario on Xbox but I cannot see that happening anytime soon :stuck_out_tongue:
