First Pro bundle with 2 games... I think? Games probably worth £40 if you don't want them.. brand new Pro for £330? 'bout as good as it gets at the moment .. :man:

Nice! I ended up getting a used one too otherwise I was on here every hour to see if a new deal came up. I even tried to buy this deal yesterday but it wouldn't let me add to the basket. Can't wait for it to arrive

So anyway, my pro has arrived. I've only played iw so far and probably will only ever play iw cos i'm weird like that but it looks much much better even on 1080p screen. So, drama over, I've seen it with my own eyes, its worth the extra cash and it looks pretty badass too. <3
Would have thought the deals at £350 with Horizon Zero Dawn (Argos and Sainsburys) are better for most people. Better game than Ghost Recon with a higher resale value and you would easy get Infamous for under £20 if you wanted that specifically.

It's all just personal opinion and perspective. I am waiting on mine today, I only have 1080 but in July or December at latest I will replace for 4khdr - I hope to see an improvement even on 1080 and that will mean it's worth it to me. Remember, opinions are like bum-holes, we all have one and most of them stink. :man:

I'm not sure it's worth £150-160 extra to get that though if you just have a normal HD TV and I have no intention of upgrading for a good while.
I myself was in the situation 1080p TV and the choice of a pro or slim and in the end I went for a slim.
I don't have the room to do it anyway. I'm going to be using the PS4 slim with my monitor so I won't need to buy an added TV. Just going to set up it up today actually, just waiting for a DAC to be delivered.

If you have a 4k HDR tv then yes, HDR is beautiful, and 4k also adds a little bit to the quality but not as much as HDR. It is still decent if you don't have a 4k tv as visuals are still improved/boost mode for more stable framerates

I bought one yesterday to replace my OG PS4 - £300 New without any games - from an eBay seller, tracking says should be here tomorrow. Im excited to say the least

Still gonna hold out for a better deal though. I don't need one until Shadow of War comes out but Horizon is certainly a nice to have.

The Argos deal ended on 12 March for those that were able to get it. Makes this the best bundle deal currently available [/quote]

Game have now pulled their hzd bundle and yet this one doesn't yet seem to have gone live - (can't be added to basket) - and no i don't think that means it's out of stock. I think it's a problem with this item on their website atm. Game are their own worst enemy! :sunglasses:

Might be that bundle being discontinued as it's no longer on the Curry's site either. I had the link bookmarked but now redirects to the consoles page.
Bit gutted as I was hoping to pick it up this week with a staff discount.
I also managed to find Argos stock (didn't buy but had a look last week) so I've added a like
EDIT: The Argos deal ended on 12 March for those that were able to get it. Makes this the best bundle deal currently available

I'm about to return to gaming is the pro worth the extra cost?

If you're fussed about 4k then yes.

That's a question I was pondering about too. I am not a massive gamer, so fps and online latency is not something I am bothered about. I have a 65 inch 4k tv, but ended up buying a ps4 slim deal from Amazon with horizon zero dawn, extra controller and 3 month psn plus. I have to say, graphics look amazing on my tv. I am sure the pro would look slightly better, but not sure i would pay the extra £200 for the pro. Maybe I will upgrade later, but at the moment there are some amazing ps4 slim deals out there.

Yes if you are willing to spend the mulla, why not get the best? It's 'worth' is a matter of opinion - it being the best playstation (technically) is a fact. <3

If you can afford it then yes.
I personally don't mind games running at 30fps as long as it's pretty much locked at 30fps, playing a game that drops into the mid to low 20's spoils the game, especially on a 65" screen, the larger the screen the more obvious it becomes, definitely one reason to get the Pro especially now it has boost mode for older games, take "Assassin's Creed Unity" it jerks along as low as 22fps on the standard PS4, on the Pro with boost mode it's pretty much locked at 30fps, I'm currently playing "Just Cause 3" and it's running perfectly smooth for me on the Pro with boost mode enabled.
Hardware wise you also get optical out and an extra USB on the back which is handy now you can put games on an external hard drive.

Probably worth waiting, if it's to be believed the PS5 or what ever they'll call it, is due next year. This will no doubt be the most powerful console to buy.

But right now it's the only bundle about with a couple of games, I think...
But I think I'd rather have a £349 and HZD deal over this
