connect the soundbar via HDMI arc on the TV, keep devices connected to the TV apart from one which you can connect to the soundbar

Package delivery this morning, the packaging and items looked as good as new. the only clue the item had been used was a hand written label on the subwoofer plug.
I intended to use soundbar for connecting to a bluetooth/hdmi laptop. The laptop hdmi is currently connect to a projector, is it a simple case of bluetooth pairing laptop with sound bar? Is the subwoofer ready configured for bluetooth connection to sound bar.

Mine arrived, the actual bar had a mark on the black mesh slightly off black I gave it a rub and it appears to be black felt tip and now shows silver where it has rubbed off. Unfortunately this part of the system is on show so returning the system.

Mines arrived, other than a couple of small scratches on the sub it's perfect, going to connect via HDMI arc to my Samsung TV later (just waiting for the HDMI 2.0 cable to arrive). Does anyone know if setting the speaker to external on the TV will enable me to control the volume of the sound bar with the tv remote?

It should control it automatically through CEC.

Arrived half an hour or so ago, all set up, seems great. A couple of tiny marks on the sub but I'm being picky, also no IR Blaster but not sure if it was supposed to be included......it's working off the TV remote anyways. So, top bargain, thanks to the OP.
Edit: Make sure you use ARC compatible cables, I've wasted half an hour wondering why I can't get sound lol

I've squeezed, and I mean squeezed, the TV on to my existing glass stand, it tapers in at the rear, I didn't expect the rearward legs to protrude so much. I've put the Q box under the TV on the same shelf, and I've put the soundbar on the next shelf down. All seems good, although I've spent the last 30 mins trying to connect using old cables, used my better one off the Q and it worked first pop :-/

Tried also but says didnt deliver to n.ireland. which is so untrue because if you contact them by phone they will take payment and send you one or any other product you want. Iv sent them a message telling them this isnt fair etc as they are going to sell out fast and i cannot place order over phone as they are not opened.. Lets hope they contact me back and manage to send me one. Doubt it tho. Well done to all the people who got one.

If your tv supports HDMI ARC its as simple as one cable from the soundbar to ARC port on your tv.
Will also allow you to control the soundbar with tv remote via cec.

Only issue with this and the philips ambilight is positioning of this soundbar in front of the tv, as it is 110cm wide and the philips legs are 83cm wide, so it will have to sit well forward of the tv legs. (and its 11cm deep)
...and it may "foul" the route to IR receiver on the tv.....due to it's height

After using this site to source a new 4K TV I bought a Philips ambilite TV after seeing it getting red hot!! via Argos. TV arrived and is amazing value but sound a bit weak so just ordered this sound bar set up to improve it and to play music off my phone. reviews seem very good and price is a bargain. Hope it'll be in prime condition. Thanks for spotting this deal as this is what this site is for.

hdmi can do Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio which optical cant but as this soundbar doesnt do any of them its no difference in sound plugging in optical or hdmi this soundbar does Dolby Digital and dts which optical does do, i have this sounbar connect only with optical to an lg tv everything i plug in to tv comes out of this soundbar just with optical plugged in to it,, i went into tv setting turned off tv speaker and set optical as sound in sound settings.
