Using code FLASH10 you can get the above laptop for a price of £746.10 delivered, seems a well specced laptop with new generation graphics, full HD screen and quad core processor.
I think this is a great deal especially factoring in the free Xbox elite controller which retails at roughly ~£100
Really hope this helps someone out as I've seen it posted on here recently at a higher price than this!
Has anybody bought one of these and successfully claimed the xbox controller?
I bought one for my son - he's very happy with the laptop, but despite getting a confirmation email 7 weeks ago we're STILL waiting for the xbox controller. HP said they're "investigating with the carrier" but no further response from them.
Code doesn't work anymore, however, I think the Very deal is equally (if not better) than this.
Very's HP Omen is Intel® Core™ i7, 8Gb RAM, 1Tb Hard Drive & 128Gb SSD Storage, 15.6 inch Full HD Gaming Laptop with 4Gb Nvida Geforce GTX965M Graphics
The 965M is ~20% better than the 1050 and slightly below (~10%) the 1050ti gaming performance-wise. Very's price is £849.99, can still claim the free Xbox controller (-£100), also code KXVJX for new customer gives £20 discount, there is also £7 quidco, so overall if we got all our money off and sell controller it would be ~£723 for a i7, dual hard-drive, 4GB GTX965M gaming laptop

What do you think of it so far?

You pretty much need the brightness turned up to full but when it is then it looks quite nice. Blacks are pretty deep. Having said that I may be the wrong person to ask as I mainly use the lappy plugged into a bigger monitor - the laptop screen is rarely on. The bezels are pretty big on it mind

This 10% offer must be a regular thing. I bought one about a month ago (without controller). Been well pleased with it. 1050 is a lot better than I was expecting after listening to some "Oh, its only the base model":-) It's easily good enough for most 1080p games. And the ssd gives a huge boost to boot times - never had a ssd before so that's an eye-opener:-)

How's the screen? Is it dull and dim or it's good good vibrant colours? Are the blacks black or grey?

Can't see any info on when the 10% off expires now - the page with a countdown has now disappeared but the offer's still on.
The free XBox controller is until April 17th - unless they extend that offer too...

Not sure why this is marked as expired - this and other models available as part of the flash sale until midnight 29th March:
I was hoping the code would work on the HP Spectre but it didn't, gutted :disappointed:

729 with free controller on the employee store if your company is part of it too but code doesn't work as well - would have been nice!

Depends, if you travel alot then this will be perfect as it is more portable. Specs wise, I think you should go for the 1080ti for the best performance.

Is the best one at 1900 decent for gaming? Or over priced?
Is it that good a deal? i5 and not i7. The graphics card is the basic 1050 which is not that brill all things considered. What about the version of HDMI on this?

If you take into account the free elite controller (£80 resale value), you have the cost at £660 which is cheap considering alternative gaming laptops.
There is a higher spec version at £999 so £890 after the code and free elite controller. So £810 after selling the elite controller. That model is an i7 256gb ssd and upgraded in other areas.
