I got this from argos, there isn't really room to carry the jon con straps unless you want it to feel uncomfortably stretched.

This, no idea how they are meant to fit

I got this on amazon and sent it back for the hori tough case which is much better in my opinion.

I've got this and think it's a perfectly good case with a decent screen protector included.
Been carrying it around for the last week in my bag and it holds up just fine.

agreed, took it back for that very reason. for £8 more you can buy the messenger bag which comes with a basic case too which is a lot more useful. i suggest people buy that n get a tempered glass screen protector instead of the cheap plastic ones

messenger bag the large one from coolshop? Got a link? Not got a switch yet but from what I hear n read I need screen protector for it!
Messenger bag. Nice. Hey. Everyone. I'm walking around full Nintendo switch kit. Because. You know - on the tube, Nintendo switch party. Bay bay.

I have this case. The straps don't fit in. It has a built in stand - which is much better than using the flimsy built in stand / micro sd cover. This case also has elasticated slots for switch cartridges, 5 or 6 I think.

This case is fine, anyone complaining about the Joy-cons not fitting are using it incorrectly.

they are talking about the joy-con straps...

Looks a good bag. The basic case, is it a soft or a hard case?

Same price at Smyths if you can find stock, I got 1 at the Sheffield store today
They fit fine in mine. It depends which way round you put the folding part. Initially I thought it was too stretched as you say, but then I reversed the direction of the fold and it all seems to fit quite snugly now.

fancy uploading a picture as my spacial awareness must be way off if anyone has managed to get them in along with the screen and joycons

There is plenty of room for the joycon straps to fit, it just bulks the thickness of the case, I wouldn't say it stretches it at all.
Screen protector is a one chance though, so get it right first time..
yeah, you haven't put the joycon straps in which we are discussing.

This case is only good if you plan on carrying the switch and nothing else. Doesn't fit the joycon straps or anything else

See my above link - straps fit fine. Agree it won't carry a charger though.

Avoid buying. Screen protector is poor quality. Dropped my Switch in the bath and the screen is not showing anything. Protector is useless.

Eh? I think you're mistaking what the screen protector is intended for!

Please please don't tell me it's like waterproofing my jacket and it needs two coats??

LOL, I'm going to say you are trolling because the alternative is that you really do think that a screen protector will waterproof your device!
Just in case you really have never used a screen protector on any other device in the last 10 years then I will tell you that the main function is to PROTECT the SCREEN from being scratched...

The glass screen protectors protect the screen from shattering. I've got the Hori premium protective filter from Argos.

I do realise this - however this particular deal, the one being talked about in this thread funnily enough, is not a glass screen.
And anyway, the guy above was moaning that this plastic screen protector did not stop his Switch from being wrecked when he foolishly dropped it in the bath!
A glass screen protector is obviously also not going to make your Switch waterproof either...
