Argos are having a 10% discount event on spends over £30 until 31st March with voucher code C10ARGOS.
The Nintendo Switch Neon Red & Blue JoyCon pair are listed at £69.99, however with the 10% discount this reduces the price to around £62.99, which is rather good - not the best they've ever been but a decent price at that.
Update 29/3 00:25 - The Neon now look to have sold out, however the grey are now in stock here:
Lol i decided that if i was going to get another pair of joy cons I may as well buy another Switch console (£269.99 earlier)... Works out £200 for another Switch.
So I did exactly that, seemed a good idea at the time.
Edit: A flawed logic but that's what this site does to you.

There's a big kid in the house and 2 little ones so that's my excuse... Same reason I bought a brand new Wii U with Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 for £150... (Still in its box unopened)... Same as the Mini NES classic...
To be fair each are worth at least what I've paid or more... My feel better comment right there.

but what are you going to do with another switch?

That's not a bad idea! You would get another dock for a different room (£90), the joycon grip (£15) and the straps (£5)
So really you only paid an extra £90 for another switch. That's a bargain!

click and collect in the north east is none existent so being forced to pay £3.95 postage which nearly brings it back to full price so the deal isn't great for me but it is if you live near Bolton and Manchester to get click and collect got free

That has been sorted with the update. Just need to make sure you unpair them, power down console and then attach them again. No problems at all since then

70 quid for a controller is pretty disgusting.

Depends how you look at it. If you look at it as 2 controllers, it's just over £30 each.

I believe that these have now sold out, however the grey ones are now available:
The software fix works for most by simply telling the Joycon to use a stronger Bluetooth signal.

These are basically like one PS4 or XB1 controller (though the ability to use two for multiplayer is sweet). I'll start voting hot when/if these hit ~£50.

So its basically like two PS4 or XB1 controller then?

29 Mar 17#27
No it doesn't, it was a error at the factory on launch models.
Don't forget to get them repaired at Nintendo so they actually work properly, lol.

If you count one half of a joycon as equivalent to a regular console controller then yes.
I suspect many people would disagree but then again the Switch is quite a marmite topic.

No, because there aren't 4 analog sticks, 4 triggers, 8 a/b/x/y buttons etc.

repair your faulty left for only 62.99. Super fast turn around, much less than a week average. Of course there are no faults; but the non-fault, whatever that was, has been corrected.

Might just buy another switch, you can get a switch with mario cart for 259 if you know what ur doing so extra switch works out at about 150

You tried playing split screen with a single ps4 controller?
Like I said, the ability to play (some) multiplayer games is cool. You cannot however compare a single joycon to a PS4/XB1 controller. Playing something like an FPS or 3rd person adventure game (like Zelda) would not be possible, since there is only one analog stick, 4 face buttons, one trigger etc.

This issue is so easy to fix just put a small sponge on top left of the circuit solution solved. Google sponge fix on youtibe. Nintendo have repaired the rare issues with a sponge wrapped round the top left circuit!
Theres no actual fault just minor interferace
