I have bought 2 of these, on this offer. First one in white for my wife, while her iPhone is being repaired. Note that the white ones battery cover doesn't have the non slip paint and one in black. I have been using the black one for a couple of weeks instead of my Oneplus X (with 3gb of RAM). I haven't noticed any issues with RAM. The phone is amazingly well built, it is comfy to hold - grippy too and I only have had one niggle. My 128GB MicroSD card sometimes disappears and the phone needs to be rebooted. I think this is an issue with the card size though. For the cost, this phone is utterly brilliant. I don't think there is anything out there that comes near it, other than from a less known cheap brand. Motorola (Lenovo) is going to push Nougat out soon. I think this is a no brainer.

I have a Moto X Force and have the same as card issue (64 GB). I noticed you can eject and reinsert to get it back - easier and faster than reboot. And if you install a custom launcher (there should be other widget apps too) allows you to have a direct shortcut to storage. So basically 3 touches. Hope it helps

13 Mar 17#71
1. yes, its is not tied to a manufacturer if you buy it direct from Motorola.
2. You will require a sim card from your chosen Service provider to insert into the phone. You choose which provider you want to use and what tariff and you can either apply over the internet, on the phone you have already or pop into a shop on the highstreet and get signed up. The internet will most probably offer you a better deal for a contract or sim only deal. With pay as you go, it doesn't really matter if you get it off the high street.
Black is back in stock too y'all!

13 Mar 17#70
A couple of questions please...
1) Can this work as a pay as you go phone? Does it already come tied to a phone provider?
2) Does this require a sim card or already have one? If no, where do you get one and does it need to be a Motorola one?
Thanks.

don't think i got a reply to this before sorry? can someone do a basic multitasking test on this phone please:
open google maps
open chrome, go to e.g. an airline website
open momondo
open at least one more big app you'll realistically have open like whatsapp.
try cyling between the apps. does chrome reload the page? on my g1 and g3 especially it does, and this is a disaster if you're part way through booking something.
i love the g series but theyve a history of memory management problems. i'm not just talking about the 1gb, there's more issues.

Anyway, we will see what comes.
I have an old Nexus 4 she could have used but I suspect this will be more fun.

ive seen numerous posts online youtube lenovo forums etc.. stating that its a real problem thousands of posts on the lenovo forum and still no real method to stop this (although not all g4 experience this) i didnt want to chance it.
with motorola they ask you to send the phone in to repair (to repair a brand new phone???) and it needs to go n for repair at least twice to even get a refund. i have read some awful things and for that reason ive returned mine without even opening.

I have this after my Lumia got smashed by the bairn. First foray into Android in quite a few years. Works fine. Memory stats sometimes show it uses nigh on all of what is available but I'm not **** about closing stuff down. It lacks some of the smoothness of the Lumia but I'm impressed with the build quality and general speed of it. Camera is pretty decent too, as is battery life. All in all I think it is a great deal for £79.

For less than £80 you are not going to get better than this. 1gb of ram for stock android is just about enough for the average user.

I got this phone a few weeks ago. It is great value, but I have noticed an ever so slight decrease in performance since day 1, loading basic apps like Chrome take a second or 2 more now, but I kind of expected this from a build up of files etc. And no, I haven't used it for any dodgy sites like porn lol, and not gamed or used much of the 16GB memory either.

I think you are confusing the 1mb operating ram with the amount of storage memory (rom) for apps etc.
I installed a SD card and use it as part of the system storage so certain apps can be installed onto the Sd card.
