I find it tastes a bit bland until I add a couple of spoonfuls of salt and sugar.

I found it pretty tasteless and sandy.
Shame I bought 3 jars last time it was on offer in Tesco!

Good grief. The whole point about it is that it doesn't have any salt or sugar (or anything else, just nuts). I love it. If you find you need to add salt and sugar, you must have too much salt and sugar in the rest of your diet. Your taste has adjusted to it. I'm serious, not just having a go.

A pain having to stir the oil in ,but much nicer than the palm oil salt and sugar normal butters.

Surprised it's on offer again so soon.
I like to mix the crunchy with the smooth. Just because.

If I'm lucky to get four jars it'll be better value than recent 1kg deal.

one of the few peanut butters that doesn't have added oil and/or sugar.

You probably have top much salt and sugar in the rest of your diet, and your palette now expects it in everything.

Bought it last time when it was on offer. It tastes sugar less so we add honey to it.

Of course it's sugarless. That's why people buy it.

Bought 2 jars last time and surprised it's back in offer so soon. What other brand would you recommend that's available in supermarkets?
DexMorgan
1 Mar 171#17
Any brand other than this that I've tried has tasted more peanutty.

it doesn't have added oil. so it's quite rare to find one like this. it's healthier than the ones that have loads of oil and crap added to them.

hahaha... Im a pb lover. Time to stock up ! I still have many jars but when pb is on offer, you've got to buy it! It's actually funny cause I've been observing the prices recently and waiting for offers! And here is comes. I'm happy  I live the organic one from Whole Earth but it really expensive....It's like 2.50 for a 225g jar... ! Meridian is good as well.

More peanutty lmao. This is 100% peanuts. I think you mean more salty and sugary

I just like my food to taste good, I'm no tree-hugger, they kill the peanuts anyway

Ironic that this appears really sloppy and oily when you scoop it out, it seems somehow that the ones with added oil become more solid, like a proper paste or butter.

The correct degree of seasoning is an essential part of good cooking, most meals taste bad with too much or too little salt, need to get it just right.

Isn't the point of it to be healthy, hence why there is no added bad stuff? It's just pure 100% peanuts.

Sunpat does not taste of peanuts when going back from this!
Amazon have price matched this if you want 6.

Peanut allergy means I have to buy their cashew nut butter, at a price, so I'd be grateful to know if anyone has come across any deals on this. Looked into making my own but think it'd wreck the food processor. Good deal for this peanut butter. Thanks for posting.

I'm glad I only bought 1 jar of this, it's so oily and sloppy, they might not have added any other oils etc but what's the point to that if it doesn't make an end product that's pleasant. I think I'll try and use the rest of it in cooking

Hi All, my family loves Sun Pat peanut butter, is this better? Tastier? Healthier? We go through 2 jars of the smooth ones every week , Thanks Kevin, Daventry

I like sun pat, all supermarkets own, this one had a weird oily after taste. that's just my personal opinion.

The quality of this has taken a real nose dive in recent months. Last half dozen or so jars I've had have been pretty tasteless.
I guess now they're using such poor quality nuts they can afford to have this on offer all the time. :disappointed:
