I have hundreds of these on the back of bus tickets. I use the machine and they never ask for the voucher at the till

I've done this a few times but I'm not sure if they could even tell if you don't do the survey and just write down five random numbers.

The freebie Metro newspaper often has such £1.99 vouchers in. They have an expiry date but the bar code doesn't seem to change: I recently used at the machine a voucher, the expiry date of which was 30 Oct 2016. The Metro vouchers are for: Big Mac/McChicken, quarter pounder or fish-o-filet, each with medium fries, for £1.99.

I tried to be generous once offering many extra vouchers that I had accumulated to a huge queue at a local McDonalds. Everyone looked indifferently. I approached a group of school kids to give the vouchers to them but they all politely refused. At the end, I threw the vouchers away.

As people said earlier, those vouchers are often on the back of bus tickets. If you keep your eyes peeled, you may spot a clean one on the ground.

btw there is no need to do the survey, they have no way of checking the numbers,
so just write 5 random digits on the receipt

Normally the Metro has £1.99 vouchers every Tuesday

i thought the same untill i actually had one a few years ago, thought it was much lower quality than Mucky D's and BK, and much more expensive as well

I like Maccys generally but the problem is with the temperatures when you get your meal.
Cold/mildly warm chips, pot luck with the Big Mac, and crazy (too) hot coffee.

They don't check code. But staff are told the codes generated are 5 digits and if u add them all up and divide by 3 it needs to be s whole number no digit point

Im a bit picky.. like mine fresh so always order a grill that way I know it is just cooked and always warm.. drinks are always hot and like everyone says fries are pot luck but you can ask for fresh if not happy, i usually enjoy thrm 9/10 anywa only when they really old and greasy tasting do i turn my nose up! Lol. And as for whimpy.. their burgers werent nice at all, but their knickerbockerglory (if thats how you spell it) was amazing.. great childhood memories!! Kfc for the win chips and boneless chicken with a side of gravey! Yum! Maaaan im hungry now and just about to leave for lunch shift at work :-(

always ask for a receipt between 12-2 and 5-7 pm allegedly that's when they get mystery shoppers so you should get good food service

Not after June.. this survey ( food for thought) is replacing our mystery shoppers, it's rolling out to all stores next month

HA, remember their fish platter , i had never before seen such a big oval shaped plate before in my life, of course i was still in single digits age wise in the 70's, but i will never forget that massive oval fish platter plate, and i have only went into a Wimply twice in my entire life. lol

I love going in on my own ordering various different items. Then make sure I sit where I can be seen by the counter staff then try and pretend I am taking notes on my phone whilst looking all around the restaurant. Making sure I use the bathroom and examining the bins and floor. Makes them paranoid...lol.

I'd tell you all now, if the Mcdonalds has one of those self catering machines take a picture of a voucher and you can use it infinitely by selecting "I have a voucher" and when they ask if you have the voucher just say you threw it in the bin, they can't do anything and you always get Big Mc/McChicken/Fillet and Fries for £1.99 errytime anytime.

My local cottoned on and when asked said it had been massively abused the past week since it was posted on hukd and, tried one a few miles up the road and same story.

This deal is genuine though and legitimate.
