Tempting but I'd end up pirating them again after buying so I can actually play the DLC..

You can use pirated/decrypted DLC with legit copies of the game on PC (so I heard!) so you could always do that and then at least you've thrown some money BioWare's way, plus you should also be able to unlock DLC achievements on Origin. The situation with the DLC for these games is ridiculous, though. I think I've previously worked out that it would cost something like £80 to get all DLC across all three games, because it's never come down in price over the years, is hardly ever on sale, they've never done any sort of complete bundles for any of the three games or the trilogy and you have to buy BioWare points to buy the DLC and they're never on sale either, plus you'll have to buy more than you need because you have to buy them in certain amounts. Pretty crazy for a popular series of games that are now 10, 7 and 5 years old, respectively.

Did they ever fix ME1 on PC so it's actually playable without crashing?

I played it through on PC recently without much issue. A couple of crashes but I had heavily modded it so they may well have been the cause.

I finished Mass Effect a couple of weeks ago without any crashing at all (my OS is Windows 7). Currently playing through Mass Effect 2.

If you do buy these go and mod the games, especially Mass effect 1, you can add full1080p textures and native xbox 360 joypad support now, it is well worth the effort, totally awesome when modded up to this.

Aye. If they did a GOTY with hd remake for £30, it'd sell more than andromeda.

For those looking to play these, they had Mass Effect 2 for free on Origin a couple weeks back - so I downloaded it, not sure if its still on the free games list but worth checking. From my memory of playing a bit of ME1 and all of ME2 and ME3 the first time around on xbox360, I think ME2 was the best. Also, download the ALot textures mod as mentioned above. Its a bit of a fiddle to install, but its free and updates a large portion of the game textures to modern standards - holds up pretty well.

There is the ''ALot texture packs'', what he failed to mention is the absurd amount of time it'ill take you to install them: (1 day, possibly longer if you own a potato), and the difference they make is small, dont belive the waffle. Just get the ''Gampad mod, ENB and Reshade and enjoy.

I don't even think the dlc for bioware ME games are even on Origin anymore, don't you have to by it from the bioware own site now.
