I had a quick look. Sales are usually a mixture of stuff they can't shift, special buys and the occasional bargain. This one seems to be mainly about the stuff they can't get rid of. In decent socks that means size 4 and beige.

I ordered last night from the preview link they sent. Everything was 50% off and order came to £64. Just checked and the same items this morning would now be £77.50 in the sale.
If you do get a preview link it seems to be much better ordering through it before the sale hits the main site as the discount is less.

I checked the stuff yeaterday but hardly found anything in my size at all and these clothes are ugly anyway

Note that the returns policy has changed and it's now only 14 days for sale goods

yep I've got the 5000 points now to access it, but even yesterday there wasn't much. Mid season sales are always a bit crap

Rubbish stuff like others have said. Why oh why do I keep wasting my time trawling tgrough the items and find nothing worth buying. Wish I didnt get this bespoke 10 pound for 5 pound offer a couple of years back now. Plus ive already lost one of the 10 e gift cards due to it expiring

Alas even with 50% off men's item they are still another 50% too expensive for average clobber.

Some of the shoes are nice. Shame I am not a size 6 1/2.
