Norwegian air have a deal for direct flights to San Fran for 149.90 from London Gatwick. Looks like lots of flights in May 2017. They also have low fare + tickets for 199.90 which includes 1 x 20kg hold bag, seat reservation and meals.

That's correct, engine failure. Nothing to do with the desert heat apparently

Didn't a BA plane burst into flames at McCarran last year?

The upgrade to premium is a bit of a bargain on this airline (extra £350 per flight) if it's within your budget- nearly lie-flat seating (can get a decent nights sleep), loads of legroom, 2x20kg luggage, decent food and drink onboard, departure lounge access. Not long haul business class, but a good step up from premium economy. Planes are 787 Dreamliner.

I'm always tempted but ultimately opt for a pack of Nytol, a travel pillow and an eye mask from pound shop.

anyone know if they are stopping the Vegas route from LGW.....only available until end Mar so I am guessing so
We will be giving Norwegian.com a try in April, flying into Fort Lauderdale. Given the reviews that I have read, on the whole they have been good. I didn't know they provided , tea, coffee & water for free so thanks for that info.
We came back from Australia in December courtesy of BA and it was one (if not the worst) flight of our lives. They actually ran out of food, coffee & tea before they got to Heathrow and it wasn't a cheap flight by any means.

If you read the website you will see what is covered and not. 149 is the lowest price, smallest leg room and no extras. Ive been looking for return trips for a while. On average my lost cost no frills return clocks in at 449, but 500 for a "normal" flight with your regular airline, with USB power, drinks food and luggage included.

As ramraideruk said it does go into Oakland as my daughter used it back in December and again to return to Oakland this January. It is a budget airline so you will have to pay for Drinks and Soft drinks and some snacks, pillows, and blankets. They do included Tea, Coffee and Water for free. Also make sure you check the small print as some of the prices are cheap but do not include your luggage or even hand luggage we nearly made that mistake. However saying all this my daughter said that the flight was good a little squished but the cabin crew were friendly.

It's actually OAKLAND not San Francsisco. Oakland is a different airport and much further out than SFO.

I think one way tickets are very niche, people should post the cost of a return.

Return is actually even less (140) on several dates.
