Eurostar is slashing its fares as part of a 10-day flash sale that starts today.
Passengers will be able to travel direct to Paris, Lille, Calais and Brussels for as little as £29. Discount fares are also available for the return leg, meaning a round trip to the Continent will cost as little as £58.
The promotion began this morning and will run until March 16. Discounted fares are only available for journeys made between March 21 and May 25, and exclude the dates March 31 and April 17.

Sadly, Paris is really going downhill and fast. Vast numbers of homeless migrants sleeping rough, particularly around Gare du Nord. A lot of areas smell of urine or worse (unfortunately, I am not joking), and there is a huge amount of litter on the streets. I'd suggest avoiding for now and visiting Belgium or going further south on the Eurostar (Avignon, for example).

Paris is an absolute **** hole, multiculturalism has destroyed France unless you go into the country which isn't too bad but very quiet.

Paris is unfortunately in a rather sorry state these days. Still a beautiful city but riddled with serious crime, exceptionally dirty and wayyyyy over-priced.
Keep your wits about you because you WILL probably be mugged, pick-pocketed or conned otherwise. Barcelona is a much better option in my opinion

Having come back from a recent trip to Paris, I would not recommend it to anybody.

It is much better to chose middle Europe destinations like Poland, Czech Republic or Slovakia. So safe up there, so quiet. France is lost....

Can't find these cheap fares. Flying to Paris next month to visit my daughter who's working there. Was quite looking forward to going but after the negative comments on this thread I'm not so sure. As regards the comment saying you WILL get mugged, really? Try scunny on a Saturday night. As regards Barcelona when we went there were pick-pockets every where and I managed to get jumped by a group of yobs for no reason.
