If you're in a hurry to own this then by all means grab it now but as it was £53 not that long ago in Argos and Amazon I'm sure it will drop again.

It might be a good idea to invest in one of these to improve your chances of being understood by Amazon.

Hi, thanks to your kind reply, as I keep thinking I am the only one having such problem and all is my fault. I had just finished report such to amazon and I hope they could understand what I am saying and help out.

This is a decent enough deal but just remember other 2tb hdd's like the maxtor are around £65 normally. Just so you dont get rushed into an impulse buy. Thats probably why this deal is only 29% claimed.

Thanks for your helpful replies on both topics, I would go with an internal HDD but since i live between addresses Im thinking this might be the best option for now. Will look out and see what I can find to see what better deals is out there. Both PCs using USB 3 so hopefully performance loss wont be to bad.
thanks, I missed one last few weeks (not this item but others), to me, it is a mystery, I don't know why. I always miss the deals I really want only find out on hot uk listing (expired), very frustrated (try use uk camel to track but camel don't do lighting deal alert)

What would be better for Storing and playing PC games from? this one or the seagate expansion 2TB, as far as i can see this one is 5400RPM and that one is 7200RPM, but that ones mains and bigger, Not fussed about size but performance. anything else I should know?

Well for absolute best performance a internal drive would be better on a PC as there will always be a slight drop in speed via USB versus using the internal SATA ports (and that way you don't have to remember to connect or power on the drive as it's on as soon as the PC is) though with USB 3 the performance loss is pretty minimal. Assuming you can't or don't want to open your PC and install a internal drive, the 7200RPM external would be better thanks to the faster spindle speed.

Hi, I am on amazon lighting deal page but could not find this deal (but it did show lighting deal features on the item page). Please could you advice why I could not see it on lighting deal page, thanks

I noticed this a week or so ago when another hard drive lightening deal was posted. Same as you - this deal does not show up in the lightening deals on my Mac - in any web browser. However, it is there on my phone using the Amazon app. I don't know why this is, but it's bloody annoying - probably missing all the best deals.
