This is similar to the amazon deal but ebuyer has them in stock so can be ordered now. Been on the lookout for a 27 inch 1440p monitor then came across this. Good for gaming it seems but be aware if you're serious about photo and video editing then it doesn't have as accurate colour reproduction as say the dell ultra sharp U2715H. 72% NTSC vs 99% sRGB.

good price, I'm gonna wait out for a better price on the UD88 model, I've used both side by side and it's worth the extra

Did you notice any difference in the panels of the two monitors?

72% NTSC probably roughly equals 99% sRGB. Quote from https://www.lifewire.com/lcd-monitors-and-color-gamuts-833038 "to quantify the various color gamuts in terms of their relative range of color of narrowest to widest would be: CIE 1976 < sRGB < AdobeRGB < NTSC" and "(72% of NTSC is roughly equivalent to 100% of the sRGB color gamut.)"

Thanks for clarifying that! I may pick one I myself if that's the case!

I've got this monitor and love it; disagree with the statement about colour accuracy, each one comes with it's own calibration certificate with the monitor serial number on.
Also I seem to recall reading the Dell UHD monitor has the same LG panel as this.

Looks like they have bumped the price to £342.99 :-(

No doubt they saw some traffic hitting the page and increased the price accordingly.

Amazon have upped their price too, but only to £329.99.
That Samsung has a TN panel, not IPS though. Which is why it's cheaper.

How does this stack up with the Acer RT280K that was £225 the other day? Worth the extra £100? Would gaming be better?

It's a nice screen but if you aren't running 2 x 1080's and your a gamer you will struggle to run anything at the native resolution, down scaling doesn't work well either.

The new ebuyer price is a bit high; you can get an Acer B276HK for £349.99 ebuyer, Box Limited on Amazon, box_uk eBay
The Acer has a decent tilt/swivel/pivot stand, USB 3.0 hub and speakers, but no FreeSync sadly.
I think I'd prefer to order this direct from Korea!
