SDHC and SDXC aren't associated with speeds, they are associated with the volume of storage only, i.e. 64GB is SDXC, anything below that like 32GB is SDHC. Most devices nowadays are compatible with SDXC, but many older devices and low end devices might not accept cards above 32GB.
In terms of speeds, and especially when looking for something capable of coping with Android's adoptable storage, you need something with UHS 3 speeds. To determine the speed of a card, using just the Class of it is no longer really appropriate. Just look for UHS 3 and you'll be fine.
The Toshiba M302 microSD cards are UHS 3 and are quite cheap.

is SDHC faster than a normal class 10?
I have a class 10 32gb in my phone but the apps that are stored on the card memory take an age to load (moto g4) sometimes just unusable.

great advice. look for a U on the card with a number 3 inside as all UHS 3 cards will hae this. Most type 10 will have a U with a 1 inside these have a minimum speed 1/3rd that of the USA. no number in a U always means slow.
Can I use this in a GoPro or do i need a faster card

Ah, so my UHS-1 Samsung 128gb card needs replacing to speed up my phone? I'm not using adoptable storage but have apps on SD so probably worthwhile

These work fine in my GoPro4 I always record at 1080 never found a use for 4K recordings 1080 is more than enough unless you have a huge cinema.

Thanks OP I just ordered 2 for £16 for our Samsung mobile phones! Free shipping is good too.
(Slightly out of topic -but when I purchased them and paid by Paypal, "Google Free Protection" thingy popped up
which I have not seeng it before...
but since I thought Papal purchase is pretty much protected up to certain price, I just declined it.)

received my M302 yesterday and moved apps on to it. the apps load a lot quicker from the memory card compared to my previous Lexar class 10. a good app I use to benchmark is 9Gag, on my Lexar card the app would just freeze for a minute or two on a black screen before it responded (similar waiting time with Autotrader and other apps). on this M302 card, they load up after a couple seconds! thanks again for the recommendation.
