Hey just leaving a comment to help people out, if anyone is struggling looking for a phone and lives in the UK, I strongly recommend the Lenovo P2 (£200 from three instore - unlocked). It is stupidly good for the price, great screen, specs, and the best battery of any current smartphone (lasts 30+ hours). Seriously check it out, I don't usually comment but its so good that I wanted to share the goodness. edit: also 32gb expandable storage

Considering Samsung have exclusivity on the 835 for a few months and it's a flagship chipset, and all other phones this year will be flagships that use the 835, and you can't yet buy any phone with a 835, what do you think your chances are of getting a phone for £236 with a 835 chipset? If you do then good luck I guarantee it will be barred from all European networks.

Cheers for that. Have you looked at the ZUK Fans forum? I've seen quite a few posts there on the whole notification malarkey.

bought it off banggood in january but they don't seem to stock the black model anymore. Camera is about on par with an iphone 6 in terms of picture qulaity, but better in usage thanks to features like OIS and an f1.8 aperture. Audio from the 3.5mm jack sounds like any other phone I've had, i.e, good enough. The loudspeaker's not gonna hold up to htc boomsound or anything, but it's still loud, clear, and good enough.
The notification thing bugs me the most. Nougat introduced new notifications that are supposed to nest withing each other, but Zuk UI just displays all of them individually and makes a mess of it. Notifications for some apps like gogole play music won't even display properly and cut off song titles and such. It's not the most horrible thing in the world though and you could live with it if you had to.

I bought the black model back in january for £260. Custom rom support is pretty poor, and Stock ZUI on nougat has a really crappy notification shade. I'm happy with pretty much everything else, and have even come to prefer how they've implemented a single button for android navigation rather than the typical three. The phone would be perfect for me if I could get my hands on a stock-like rom.
The regular zuk z2 is probably better value than the pro z2. Here you're paying extra for a larger, OLED display, 128gb UFS 2, a better camera, better materials, quickcharge 3, B20 and some other things. Sounds like a long list but it's really just nerdy stuff most people won't even notice. Both phones still beat pretty much anything else when it comes to spec/price ratio however, so you can't go wrong with either.

Where did you get the black version for £260? Everywhere I've seen it sells it for £300+!
Also, how's the camera and audio, and what do you mean by "crappy notification shade"?

There are a couple of phones going to be released soon with snapdragon 835 with x16 Lte modem like Sony and Samsung S 8 but there is no snapdragon 836. Don't tell porkies.

Looks good. Seriously thinking about selling my S6 and buying a Chinese phone with a decent battery, if only there is one with a very good camera..
My S6 is about a year old and the battery is woeful. Even after a full charge the OS itself tells me I have 8 hours tops battery life, and 9 using power save mode.... its a damn good job it has fast charge..

A question: how many mobiles have you owned and what %tage of them failed in the first 12 months? It's all a question of how much you think a warranty is worth, I guess. But buy it witha credit card and you should be covered anyway...

Chinese version of Android UI is a bit Marmite tbh.
I generally prefer stock Android. ZUK UI is really strange, e.g. swipe from the bottom upward for quick settings ... which is contrary to other OEMs. But if you're using one handed, it sort of make sense if you have small hand/short fingers.
The customisable home button is my favourite feature of the phone ... I like to turn on screen nav off.

Not sure about rooted or not, not an expert here. But it did take me a few hours to re-install original ROM. Problem is ZUI is quite different, and you have only one button to navigate, as I said, it does take time to get used to it, but other than that, very good handset, and at this price, hot!

don't worry about custom ROM , Expected Release date in India is 30 Apr, 2017 so you can install official Indian ROM

Looks great. I just got the z2 plus and I'm happy with it. Don't think I could justify the extra £100 for this as I'm on 3 so not ultra reliant on B20 but for others its well worth looking at.
