I didn't get a UK adapter either but I have lots of chargers anyway.
The Chinese and Indian roms are official from ZUK and are the same as what the Z2 is shipped with, minus the added apps and with OTA update functionality added back in. You'll need to change the language to English (quick google) and you'll need to install Google Play from the included app store. Chinese rom is on Nougat but still has some Chinese language here and there (not really a problem), Indian rom is still on Marshmallow but with better translations apparently so everything is in English. These are probably the best options if you want to run apps that are picky with custom roms like banking apps. You can flash these by following the video posted in comment #19.
Lineage is the new cyanogenmod so gives a stock android experience, but is fairly new for the Z2 and only Nougat is available.
Mookie has been running on the Z2 longer and has Marshmallow and Nougat (nightlys) available, and is also stock android.
Any of these is a good choice - I've only had a quick go with them all but they all seemed to run well. To flash these you'll need to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP - go to the video in comment #19 and then look at his other videos and he goes through it step by step. The only issue I had was with the ZUK account - everything created OK but when I requested the bootloader, it brought up a login screen and when I logged in the screen flashed and nothing happened. Creating a ZUK account here solved the problem: http://www.zukmobile.cc/buy-zuk-mobile.html
My only issue with Lineage and Mokee is that the option to have the onscreen nav bar seems to have been removed from the developer options (or maybe it was never there, but if you search in the settings for it, it shows a search result but nothing is there?). But it IS there on the ZUK roms if you'd prefer to use on screen buttons instead using the home button for everything - this actually works well but I still kinda miss the on screen buttons.
As always there's no 'best' rom so recommend trying them all and going with the one you like most.

I got this about 4 weeks ago when it was on offer for £150.
It's slightly thicker than most modern android phones, the camera isn't great, it doesn't have an SD slot & the keyboard was freezing a lot after updating. I have since uninstalled all the updates and it's been fine ever since.
it has a lovely sleek robust feel, is really nippy for everyday use, the screen is lovely, battery life lasts the day and will survive the night on standby, USB C with quick charging (quick charge plug required separately), finger print sensor, multi-featured home button works VERY well, oh and massive 64gb storage.
For me, the pro's far outweigh the cons and it's the best value for money phone I've ever bought (I've had quite a few)

Great phone (I have had the black one since November). It comes with an international ROM that will never be updated so you will have to flash the ROM to get it to receive OTA updates. Seems quite easy to flash a huge number of other ROMs out there. Remember though if this phone goes wrong it will be pain to get fixed or replaced. Flashing the phone may also invalidate the warranty! I have flashed the Indian ROM (English and Indian language) which has updated to the latest Marshmallow and Nougat may be available later this year. You can flash the Chinese ROM and this is already at Nougat. If you are a bit tech savvy then this could be the phone for you. If not I would suggest other options such as a UK bought phone.

Great phone, been using mine with stable Marshmallow ROM and it flies. Best not to buy if you are not tech savvy. Camera is pretty average but the performance is amazing, and I don't think a good camera is worth the extra £200 minima outlay for one.

Decent phone, it's a bit think, but the extra battery life is the advantage you gain.
It's fast, solid hardware, and very stable.
If you are looking for a high spec 5" mobile at a bargain price, this is the one to get.
Edit: just to add, using this on Three mobile, and reception is great. Band 20 missing has been a non-issue so far

To answer the questions no band 20 which is used by Vodafone, o2 and 3 in some way for 4g, treat it as having no guarantee, may have malware on it, you will most likely get hit with customs charges if you use anything but standard free delivery. If you can deal with All that a well specked phone for the price
nublets2k to malky39

EE use band 20 for 4G too. O2 is the main loser here because all of its 4G is band 20, the other carriers all have other 4G bands as well.

Ok so i will be following this guide on youtube to install stock rom:

I give this deal a hot. Decent phone with a huge CPU/RAM spec for the price and OP has made the effort to explain no B20 etc.
Only unknown is if there's any custom/3rd party firmware on this.
Hot, loved my ZUK Z1 back in the day. If I was in the market for a phone I would definitely consider this, even if you're stung by customs you'd be hard pressed to find a better spec for the price.

I'm staying away from Chinese phones at the moment. I recently bought a oukitel k6000 pro. great phone for the price. but I did a debloat scan and found the adup spyware. I got it off Amazon and it appears like a serious beach of privacy, GPS, SMS, call recording, remote app installation. kind of unsettling when using banking apps, even signing into Google.
The Adups spyware is also on the Elephone P8000 and the UMI Rome as well as the BLU range of phones sold on Amazon.

Either buy something or don't, but there's no need to spout rubbish like that IMO.
Hardware seems pretty good for the price but UI/Lenovo ROM doesn't seem as good as the excellent MIUI 8 on the Xiaomi phones. Obviously no SD card slot either or quite as battery efficient as the Redmi 4 phones.
Maybe a Muiu ROM on the z2 might be the way forward

jnm21
5 Mar 17#49
That was once true (o2), but not 100% any more - they bought a small amount outside this band post auction (probably during a merger discussion).
The key point is that all networks utilise band 20 - this phone will not get 4G in all of the UK areas that a phone with band 20 will & it will likely be slower in some areas too - this is true on all UK networks.
That said 3/3.5/3.75/3.9G are more than capable until your provider reallocates the masts you use from 3G to 4G, which must be a possibility.
if go with Huawei.
u get a warranty of 2 years from Huawei plus 3 months cover against cracked glass.not sure of style of honor 7 but if it's anything like my honor 8 you'll b missing out on a fabulously stylish phone, with a much better camera.

Thanx for that, I'm considering getting this Phone too.
Is it worth buying it from my above UK link source for a few £'s more, which comes WITH the charger, as well as the charging cable, etc ...
As opposed to buying it from BangGood a non-UK source, which though notably cheaper, does not come with any notable charger (be it a UK one, or otherwise?), but does come with the charging cable however?.
Is the missing Qualcomm certified included charger worth the additional/extra £50 odd? (that the UK source would give to you, that the non-UK one won't ..... )

So, picked my phone up from Royal Mail today. The phone came well packaged in a bubble wrap and also had all the ZUK Chinese manuals, warranty information and plastic screen protector on (basically new). The phone came with a custom ROM with playstore already on. The custom ROM did not have the OTA update feature but everything seemed to be working perfectly.
Anyhow I followed the YouTube video noted in my comment #19 and installed the Chinese ROM Nougat 7.0. Initial start up was all in Chinese but ended up on the main screen to then jump into setting and change to English. 99% of the language all changed to English and every feature worked really smooth and well. The ROM has OTA feature enabled which is great but i did not have anything to update as it was the latest one.
The ROM came with a few bloatware which i uninstalled via settings>application>select app and uninstall which was simple and great. I them installed Play Store noted in the youtube comments on the video. I was amazed to how simple it was to follow:
1.Download links and install
2.Follow video (all to about 15-20 mins - I'm a 'noob' too)
3.Delete bloatware (optional)
4.Install Playstore
The phone is great, Antutu scored 151752! may order another one

I'll not make a new post but its available right now for E144.67 (around £126) from Gearbest using code ZUKGBSR

Expired now. Codes on Gearbest never work for that long. There is another thread for this phone available for £130 still at Banggood

Fair enough, thanx.
I'm aware of the other BangGood Thread too, YOU inadvertently gave them the heads up a few days back with that then BangGood 'Code' upon this Thread! .. your original Comment 105, to which I then responded to you on Comment 114.
And somewhere between your Comment and mine ..... BAM!, hehehehe.
But it's cool £126 sound's wayyyyy tastier than £130+ undoubtedly?, lol, but ... what the hay, huh? (I'm surprised someone else didn't feel it necessary to make a GearBest Post for this very same ZUK Phone via that Code too, to be honest?). :-)
Ps.
Where are you mustering up all those cool useful random Codes from at all?, hehehe.

I just search 'zuk z2' on twitter and there's always posts with the latest codes to get it cheap. Often from foreign HUKD equivalent deal sites.

I've had mine for a couple of weeks now, having used a Lenovo K3 Note (£111 via HUK) for the previous 20 months.
I'm very happy with the phone and would not be at all upset to have spent £144 on it. When you compare it to the price of a Pixel or Galaxy S7 or iPhone 7 or iPhone SE etc the value for money is ridiculous.

Does anyone have any decent MATT screen covers they can recommend? I can't remember if this has Gorilla Glass or not. Thanks

How are people finding battery life? I've seen in reviews that it is great but mine is very meh (4h38 average SOT). Phone radio seems to be using a lot of battery (33% since my last charge - I use two sims but I'm in a city and have full signal).
I'm on stock Indian ROM - anything I can do to improve this?

Not sure but mine has been great. I am having one issue though - mine has been randomly switching itself off. Doesn't happen some days, happens once or twice other days. Its not due to overheating either.

What ROM are you on?

I had the shop ROM Indian 2.0.093 for about a week and it was happening. Then flashed the stock Indian ROM 2.0.093 and OTA update to 2.0.133 but still happening. It could be an app causing it.

Just received and switched on....seems to already have android 6.0.1 and Play Store is already on the home screen. Would I need to mess around with flashing this??? Also how can I check what ROM mine is running?

Everything is set, and everything is there alllllllllllllllll for you! (and ready to go!, straight out the BOX!).
No messing about required?, UNLESS you actually choose too like?, lol.
Refer to some of my own Lenovo ZUK Z2, AND Lenovo ZUK Z2 Pro Threads for some answers/ideas I regard/relation to ROM FLASHING, etc?.
As for being able to check which ROM you Lenovo is on (as same could be said for most any Android Phone out there too, etc), go to your Phone's Settings, and something along the lines of 'About Phone', should reveal to you allllllllll. :-)

Any thought's on the Mokee ROM guy's? (over that of the Indian ROM?, or any thought's on the Mokee ROM altogether?), anyone tried that method yet?, or .....
I'm considering FLASHING mine also, but need some help/ideas?, thanx for any assist in advance. :-)
Opening post
Use code zukzuk
TCB is 6.9% but probably won't work with code

For me, the pro's far outweigh the cons and it's the best value for money phone I've ever bought (I've had quite a few)

zuk edge is expensive
It's fast, solid hardware, and very stable.
If you are looking for a high spec 5" mobile at a bargain price, this is the one to get.
Edit: just to add, using this on Three mobile, and reception is great. Band 20 missing has been a non-issue so far

Ok so i will be following this guide on youtube to install stock rom:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NB61a8N1TTw
Which rom should i go for - Indian or Chinese rom? the Chinese is at 7.0 nougat which seem appealing - anyone tried this over the indian rom (not sure when this or if this will go to 7.0 ZUI 2.5)
Only unknown is if there's any custom/3rd party firmware on this.

Took just over 2 weeks
Either buy something or don't, but there's no need to spout rubbish like that IMO.
Other issues: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-MmWqNrCH4
Hardware seems pretty good for the price but UI/Lenovo ROM doesn't seem as good as the excellent MIUI 8 on the Xiaomi phones. Obviously no SD card slot either or quite as battery efficient as the Redmi 4 phones.
Maybe a Muiu ROM on the z2 might be the way forward
Scratch that - I was thinking of the £139 P9 Lite, but that offer seems to have expired long ago (lowest is now ~£180):
Huawei p9 lite payg £129.00 + £10 top-up (£139) instore @ EE
The key point is that all networks utilise band 20 - this phone will not get 4G in all of the UK areas that a phone with band 20 will & it will likely be slower in some areas too - this is true on all UK networks.
That said 3/3.5/3.75/3.9G are more than capable until your provider reallocates the masts you use from 3G to 4G, which must be a possibility.
EDIT: not easy to find details (I only know because a colleague got o2 4G on an iphone? which has no band 20 - at first I thought it was a Vodafone share at work, but now know otherwise: http://www.silicon.co.uk/networks/broadband/o2-4g-spectrum-coverage-175194

Within the body of that eventual 481.6MB File, is there any Flashing schematic's within it? (saying what to do, etc?), or .....
Thanx. :-)
But I've never had any issues with them ..... (and I've ordered a few different things off of them on and off over the years too) :-)
https://www.eglobalcentral.co.uk/lenovo-zuk-z2-64gb-sim-free-unlocked-white.html
As opposed to buying it from BangGood a non-UK source, which though notably cheaper, does not come with any notable charger (be it a UK one, or otherwise?), but does come with the charging cable however?.
Is the missing Qualcomm certified included charger worth the additional/extra £50 odd? (that the UK source would give to you, that the non-UK one won't ..... )
Thanx for any advice in advance. :-)
Around this sort of time last year (give or take 1 month or so?), the Huawei P9, was bordering more the £100 mark?, it's more like £200 now ...
I got the Huawei P8 Lite just under 1 year ago for ALMOST half that of anyyyyyything it's CURRENTLY going for! (almost 1 year later?!), it's currently also topping around £140-£160+ odd?.
What's up with all that rubbish man. :-(
Anyhow I followed the YouTube video noted in my comment #19 and installed the Chinese ROM Nougat 7.0.
Out of interest, did your Phone Package come with more than just the basic USB charging cable?, or ..... (eg. a wall charger for the Phone also?, be it Qualcomm 2 certiified?, or otherwise?), thanx.
Overall i'm impressed with the quality of the phone. Glad you can get a 5" phone with full HD, always good to down size from the 5.5". Also the phone supports 4k recording and slow motion pic as 960fps!!
http://www.hotukdeals.com/misc/zuk-z2-owners-resources-thread-android-phone-2616184
This is the second time i've tired to order this phone from BG, code always runs out before I get to order one.
But, when I just applied the OP's Code of: zukzuk, it knocked off a straight £15.30?, so .....
Try it again?. :-)
Thank you anyway.
Your welcome. :-)

Ps.
A few earlier offerings via this same thread also suggested going via the ROM Flashing route? (eg. putting the Indian ROM on this instead, via various You Tube Video's, etc, etc?).
That may be option for you perhaps?, I don't know ..... :sunglasses:
I flashed the Indian ROM - was easy but you have to be tech savvy - lots of discussion on the forum.
Very impressed so far, now need to decide which ROM to install - Indian, Mokee or Lineage.
Just need to spend some time getting it flashed/optimised/set up now!
