Does anyone have this that could compare it to a fire tab? I'm planning on buying myself a 7 or 8" tablet, and was thinking lenovo. Tried using my sons 7" fire that he had for Christmas for a Google search earlier and it was painfully slow. I quickly gave up on it! I think I need something with a reasonable processor speed (dont be fooled into thinking I know what I'm talking about!) but also want a half decent screen

Bought one years ago and its still going strong. Prob was tab 2 rather than tab 3. What's Android 1.3?

Seriously under spec'd with only 8GB internal memory. Only 4Gb usable, will soon fill up with Apps, an SD card will not solve that problem
Worth getting 16GB and 2GB Ram for a little more money

Don't buy a Amazon fire tablet.
Covered in adverts, have to pay £10 to remove them and store doesn't have as much as playstore. But the worst thing with fire tablet is speaker is on back, it's loud for everyone in room expect person watching it.

Aren't the adverts just on the lockscreen though? They're not as intrusive as people make out.

You can load the play store onto it

It could be argued there is an advert on the cover (i.e lockscreen) but to say is covered in adverts is an exaggeration. Google Play is easy to install. The only issue I have found with it is that Now TV doesn't work on it. Great as a low spec tablet. No idea if it is any better then the Lenovo or not but happy with mine

If you chat online to amazon give them a bit of grief they'll remove ads for free

there are so many Lenovo Tab tablets I'm confused about what the difference is. I'm looking for something like this but 16gb, which to go for?

Is this thing decent enough to watch 700mb-2gb movies on?

I find the adverts a mild nuisance, but so mild that I've never even considered spending £10 to remove them.
And Google Play is so easy to load onto the Fire that the poor, often out-of-date Amazon Appstore isn't a real issue on the Fire.

So intrusive that I haven't noticed them, though I tend to ignore adverts.

Thanks ordered, been after a cheapo tablet. not keen on the fire due to the adverts, having to pay to remove them is a joke

I asked them to be removed, charged me £10 and didn't realise until I looked on bank week after.
