Knowhow delivery guys are trained on taking doors off American style fridge freezers so as long as it fits without the doors, it shouldn't be an issue. However, there are some staff that don't follow procedure and may refuse. If you complain to the store, they'll usually be able to get another crew sent out to you to get it in, but hopefully you won't have to go down this route.

we had this recently, we had to take off all the packaging to get it through the door and failing that the handles also come off

I want this but think i will have a problem with delivery to a 1st floor flat. Anybody happen to be in one and ordered? John lewis is the only company that I have found that will carry anything up the stairs for me, no issues.
