Overall, that review is very positive for this laptop.
I have a tablet with the same processor as this and it is too slow, but with this laptop having a lower screen resolution than my tablet I think it will be ideal.

Just looked, OP price for China warehouse but there is a EU warehouse price that's £7 cheaper.

Chinese comp called Jumper, 1year warranty but very few will make use of it as you would need to ship back to China everytime. To browse web, check a few emails and watch a few you tube vids with something of decent screen size....cant really say need something more well known in terms of brand. If you look for reviews, fairs very acceptable for pricetag really

Once again thanks for the info, there is the full sized metal keyboard available on Alex press (designed for the 10.8 inch version) which funnily enough came out a few weeks after I purchased the smaller keyboard (designed for the 10.1 inch models). I think I'll make an attempt at repairing this freezing issue or I may just install Phoenix OS on this Chuwi what do you think?

There are two fixes - one for the sleep/wake issue and one for the freezing issue. The freezing issue is caused by the driver for the built in emmc storage.
BTW I have both keyboards, and whilst the metal one is a bit small and can cause the tablet to topple backwards, it's much nicer to use than the leatherette keyboard case.
The freezing fix sorted mine out perfectly, but it's a bit complex to do - you need to plug it into a pc and install TWRP for starters!

Thanks for the info on that I did read a bit into that. The odd thing is I'm not using the leather keyboard that most bought I ended up buying the metal one smaller by an inch or so on the sides but fits well. The question is if most users had this issue related to that leather style keyboard why does my Chuwi vi10 still freeze? I guess I could try it..

Bought the PiPO W9S with similar specs to this not long ago from banggood. Was ok until it started crashing/freezing and I sent it straight back along with the Medion laptop/netbook I recently sent back to Aldi too, seems like many of these that are OEM built by the same Chinese manufacturer have some issues with Windows 10 glitches. Now I'm using my Chuwi Vi10 remix OS and it's fine with the occasional freeze. Anybody used Phoenix OS yet? I find it doesn't freeze as much as the Remix OS. I have managed to install Phoenix OS on a Windows PC and oddly enough it's an AMD machine because many people had issues installing Phoenix on some AMD systems. Anyway I'm quite happy with the Phoenix OS. Ah not to forget I did have a teclast tbook 10 that just decided to not work a few months after purchasing doesn't boot into Windows or Android and I've tried everything...

Are you using the VI10 plus now? There's a fix for the freezing built by a chap called KonstaT on Modaco...

It does just best it, but for the type of use I'd get from it, I'd still go for the new one for the ssd upgrade.

They never fixed that keyboard bounce and USB issue even with the 'revised' Ezbook 3 edition:
Believe thats the X5 Z8300 version (OLD ONE as they label it) which suffered the USB issue. These should be ok and seen a few reviews mention it was sorted with the Z8350 version. Keyborad flex seems to be raised issue, but scan let it slide due to how thin it is. Bit of browsing should be fine and not too keyboard intensive
doesn't run android at all, the trackpad is awful and the 'usefull' features of dragging down with one finger to minimise windows cannot be turned off, arrow keys have to be pressed really hard, gets toasty on the bottom right, but it's super lightweight, looks good, performs okay for YouTube and word and Facebook, no gaming or programming/compiling though.

Agreed the trackpants lol on these are a joke and will drive anybody up the wall!!
Amazed at how little there actually is inside of this thing. Its not for me though due to the issues mentioned and the prospect of basically having no warranty. The biggest put off for me was the huge lithium battery stuck under the flexible keyboard - not a very good idea considering how easy those packs are to damage.

Surely worth paying the extra 20 from eu warehouse?
I nearly bought a Teclast last year but read people were having issues with the screen, now I don't think it's worth getting a Chinese tablet/laptop unless it's been around for a while and had plenty of good reviews. Can anyone vouch for jumper? Shame this doesn't have android as well.

I bought a drone from the EU warehouse but when I wanted to RMA it they wanted it sent back to China, luckily got my money back from paypal.
These are OK for the money, but have problems with the USB ports not powering external HDDs or cd drives. You'd be best paying another 20 quid and getting the ezbook 3 as those issues have been ironed out, and there is a port on the inside for an m.2 ssd for an easy upgrade.

Oddly, the review posted in post #8 states the USB ports issue is fixed after generation 1, so might be a bit of a lottery...

p.s. still voting hot because it would be ok for light use or as a spare, or even going on holiday when you don't want to take something expensive. however, it will almost certainly come with a US keyboard map.

It's a great spec for the money, but I ended up with a Lenovo IdeaPad 100S that I paid £80 for - it uses Bay Trail-T not the newer CPUs, but as you said, it's perfect for light work and not so expensive that I have to worry about it too much. I mean I'd take an Asus UX305 or couple of year old MacBook Air but then you end up with having to carry spare cases and other bits in case you damage it.
I would worry about niggles and other issues though with this - unlike branded units, getting spares even if you want to fix it yourself will be nearly impossible.

Hot! Good resolution. One USB3 port. Appears to be android or Windows 10. Almost worth getting just to see the quality. Is it anywhere near as robust as a 'western' Ultrabook?

Shame really, because it would otherwise offer alot of 'bang for buck'.
The Techtablets.com guy actually recommends the Chuwi 14.1" over the Ezbook:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeaDRlm1N0c
The Air would also be a great device if they could shoe horn a 13.3" panel into that 11.6" form factor (the bezels seem to be big enough!)
https://techtablets.com/2016/09/jumper-ezbook-air-review-online/
Having room for ssd is a big plus, but thought the Cherry Trail X5 Z8350 Quad Core bettered the Intel Apollo Lake Dual Core Z8350
