Has anyone else noticed this? I've seen it before on movies(not on this TV), it's was very noticeable and annoying, had something to do with the refresh rate not matching the source material so it would skip frames and makes the scenes feel like a stop start animation. Couldn't put up with that if I bought this (£749 now from AO)

Just bear in mind that this is an 8 bit panel so can't display true HDR.

No need to be a **** about it especially when there's £700 at risk.
"With the adaptive backlight system active, the rather rudimentary local dimming engine working on the TV’s edge LED lighting array routinely causes pretty major distractions. These take the form of the overall brightness level of the image suddenly and dramatically shifting and, worse still, dramatic stripes and clouds of lighting around bright objects that appear against a dark background.
These issues are especially noticeable if bright objects are moving across the screen, since this causes the light stripes to move around too. It doesn’t help if you’re watching in a dark room, nor if what you’re watching has a wider aspect ratio than your TV screen and thus has black bars above and below the picture.
You can mitigate the HDR backlight issues somewhat if you keep your room bright – although which movie fan wants to do that? – and decrease the power of the adaptive backlight control. However, even on the minimum setting the backlight’s machinations are still regularly distracting."
Oh and to add to that there's an input lag of 55ms so don't bother if you're planning to play video games.
And a cheap nasty remote also.

Ignore the idiot above. I've had this TV for a few months now and it's fantastic. I originally had purchased an LG and had to return it because the blacklight bleed was horrible. I've used this for everything including streaming 4k 60fps games from my PC to my Nvidia shield, make sure you turn on game mode and it'll be perfect.

You have never posted any deal here but trying to say this is Vestel. If you have no knowledge - don't speak and make a mess please. Only lower end models like CX400 were made by Vestel... 58DX700 was £1200 on release,so £699 is a great deal.
Richersounds still have it for £699 after FLASH100 code with 6 year warranty
