This is the price for a 1 litre bottle of Jim Beam at Asda. They also have 70cl bottles at £13. Both are good prices but the litre price is the best deal I've seen in a long time.
There was good availability when I got my bottle at Asda Southgate.

Have seen many times where people have posted clearly what amount of liquid is in a bottle only to have others comment on what a crappy deal it is because they have seen better. Then it turns out they are talking about a different sized bottle.
You're right though, going into that level of detail in the title should not be necessary.

I once got a supermarket copy called Jim Bream.
Tasted fishy at first but I became hooked.

You know that if you don't drink it within 48 hours it goes off?

I'm not too sure why you needed to clarify that 70cl isn't 1 litre.

It was the western gold from lidl that froze. But you could be right ive never tried any other burboun in the freezer.
In your case I suspect that this is because the Jim Beam is matured in oak barrels, it has many minute particles in it that your vodka doesn't. The ice crystals will only form if there are particles present, in exactly the same way that rain forms on miniscule dust particles in the air. Your vodka(s) will not have been in contact with any dust and is probably bottled in a very pure environment and possibly direct from the still itself. I wouldn't say that this makes the Jim Beam poor quality though, not that I drink it anyway!
PS Are you sure the JB and the Vodka are the same percentage alcohol? One might be 37.5%, one might be 40% or more.

I always thought anything over 40 wouldnt freeze.
My wife is polish and we have a freezer for vodka. None of it has ever frozen. Made me suspicious that the western gold was poor quality.

we all taste things differently so it doesn't matter if some say they don't like the taste of a certain brand and others do, the thing is its giving us info about different brands that are cheaper if we want to try them for ourselves to see and the main thing is if there's a price reduction on someone's favourite tipple it lets them know so they can stock up.

Im a big fan of lidl but that western gold was terrible. For some reason i put it in the freezer and half of the bottle froze the rest was still liquid. Never seen that with Sprit before.
Jim beam seems to always be 13 at asda and is far better

This will happen with any highish percentage alcoholic drink. Alcohol freezes at -114.1 °C so it remains liquid at normal freezer temperature, typically -18 °C.
In home made wine making it is sometimes used and referred to as freeze distillation. The liquid portion is a higher percentage alcohol than the original wine. However it is not quite as simple as that due to the way the ethanol and water molecules behave as a solution.

It's Clarkes bourbon, and it's very similar to JD too, I've tested it out on a few guests and they struggle to tell the difference

Agree the bottle with the white label is horrible from Lidl, try the 6 year old bottle with the black label @ £15.50 for 700ml this is my go to now from a long time JD drinker.
Heat for the post though - I tried Jim Beam for the first time (in the UK) @ £14 for the 70cl from Sainsburys last week and for me it was just "ok" - I have it with pepsi max. Heat though as it is nonetheless a good deal.
