Seems like a banging deal, EE £25.99pm and £100 up front costing only £723.76 over 2 years! Unlimited mins, text and 3Gb Double Speed 4G + ANY Colour iPhone 7!
Use following voucher code at checkout to get £115 off up front cost = IPH7120
----------
Essentially, given the iPhone is around £580, you will be paying just under £6 for unlimited mins, text and 3GB Double Speed 4G.

Thinking of getting the 128gb iPhone on the very deal which should work out at £560 then doing the EE £4.50 deal, making it around £615 for the first year, then budget £10 a month for the second year - giving a total cost of around £735 for a 128gb version over the two years which is pretty good IMO, IF it works out.

The code gives £140 off the up front cost now. Great deal. Ordered (and received) as an alternative to upgrade deal on EE which was rubbish.
Someone else posted this deal (indicating the increased £140 off and not the original £100 as in this deal) and his deal got negative votes! :
I really dont understand this site and the attitude of those who vote cold!

Sure you can, just ask your current provider for a PAC code and they will assist you with transferring your number

If you're already with EE on a monthly contract you have to transfer your number to an EE PAYG SIM (You don't have to put any credit on it) and then transfer to the new pay monthly contract from PAYG. For some reason they can't transfer it directly. I'm in the same situation and wasn't impressed by the upgrade deals. :man:

What a complete load of waffle... anyway I have an iPhone 7 Plus contract so this is all completely meaningless to me

I think you are calculating it incorrectly. Just like most people think that 2+2*2 is 8. While the right answer is 6.
Anyway, first of all this deal is based on assumptions and therefore incorrect calculations.
The author of this deal assumed that you can "get" GBP580 for this model. I have checked most recent sold listings on eBay, for this particular model, and it looks like the prices fluctuate between as low as GBP440 and as high as GBP560. Let assume that average price of this model is GBP500 (not 580). If you sell it for GBP500, after all the fees and delivery cost, you will be left with GBP422.80 (assuming that delivery would cost you GBP10). It means that you got GBP422.80 for the phone. At the time of writing this post, you are required to pay GBP25.99/ a month for 2yr contract and GBP215 up front cost, minus GBP140 off with the voucher code. It gives you total amount of GBP698.76.
According to my calculations, for these unlimited minutes and text messages, together with 3GB of data (4G), you would actually be paying GBP11.50/ month - not GBP5.20, adn definitely not under GBP6.
Moreover, not everyone likes to be tied with a contract lasting 24 months. Moreover, I would assume, wrongly or not, that most typical users do not need unlimited minutes and text messages.
My wife is paying GBP10/ a month for unlimited minutes and text messages, and 4GB of data (4G). Moreover it is 1 month rolling (sim only) contract. So, why is it still considered to be a deal?

Its an important communication tool, you can access the whole web, consume a lot of media, access millions of apps etc. The device will last you years if you look after it so you can pop a sim only contract when the 24 month period finishes saving you more money.

I have done this deal about a month ago and had the same problem. I had to order a SIM card (I ordered one from 3 network but could be any) I ported my number across to the SIM card which I also didn't add any credit on by the way and then once it had ported across the next day I ported it back to my new phone. Bit of a faff took 3 days porting across but worth it to keep number!

I've just rang them tonight. I was told I can't transfer my number direct from one contract to another as they're both with EE. I had to get a PAC code to transfer my number to a PAYG sim from another network then once it's transferred get a PAC code from the other network to transfer it to my new EE contract

I would add what network it was on to the description. Seems an alright deal - my contract is £799 over 24 months for the same plan but a 128GB model on EE so £723 for a 32GB seems fairly reasonable

The best deal for data and price is £35.99 a month + £125 upfront 7gb data on EE
Let say I have been living under a rock for a last year... Why is it a deal?
frozencake to don_darko
20 Mar 17#23
Because it works out at £5.20/month for unlimited mins/texts and 3Gb data (minus the handset cost).. i.e cheaper than SIM only as someone suggested above for some reason... pretty sure you'd be able to up that to 10Gb data as well if you know what you're doing.

In seriousness, a good deal if it's an iPhone you want - yes, we all know the iPhone 8 is out soon but it's always 'coming soon', if you want a phone right now, this is a really good deal for a not unreasonable monthly cost.
