If you print a lot of colour, this is a brilliant deal. You get a five month free trial of HP instant ink and then another £67 code which is enough to buy another 19 months of the £3.49 per month 100 prints contract. You can roll over up to 100 prints per month. If you print out lots of photos, this contract could save you a lot of money. The duplex printer/scanner/copier/fax or the 2 year ink deal is essentially free, whichever way to choose to look at it.
PC World is selling the 4658 with the five month trial but without the £67 printing credit for £79.99 which puts this deal into perspective.
Use the code FREEINK for an extra month of free printing. Thanks to the posters below for the code.

MODERATORS: someone has just removed a Deal that was like this but through Currys, probably because someone put a comment on that THIS one was already listed. But this is PC World, not Currys. Please reinstate the Currys deal for those of us who would like the choice of seller.

Can you not sell the £67 credit or can it detect if its used on an account with a different printer?
TheOak
19 Mar 17#43
If that's allowed then it's a bit odd. Obviously HP want to make the offer sound as appealing as possible so why would they write "up to two years" rather than "Up to 33 months" or even "2.5 years"?
TheOak
18 Mar 17#41
Could someone explain something; the cheapest package is 50 pages a month for 1.99. Wouldn't the £67 therefor mean nearly three years free on that tariff?
cliosport65 to TheOak

after your free trials downgrade to the 1.99 plan and you will have free ink for over 3 years if you don't need to print more than 50 pages a month when you downgrade

For anyone having trouble finding one I just had mine off Curry's Ebay page for the same price.
I had a £10 voucher code off Ebay to use so made it worthwhile to buy it off there.
Printer took 2 days to arrive and is brand new with the code inside for the extra ink.
I also used the freeink code and someone's referral code so an extra 2 months ink on top.
It's easy to set up and use and the printing quality is great.
After setting up they give you your own referral code to share with people which will also give you both an extra month's free ink.

Awesome! Got it for £59, got 5 months free ink + 1 months(FREEINK) + £67 voucher included
So equals £47.94 (from first 6 months on top tier plan, 300 pages/month) + £67 = £114.94
£59 => £114.94 => 195% money value!
lol wish they included paper with that - and I'm sorted

Hi, Thanks for the replies. yes the receipt is 'OJ4658+2Y R INK'
Spoke with pc world and they advised that there is a batch of these printers which have been dispatched with no codes!... Eventually got this sorted with HP instant ink this morning, they updated the account over the phone with a £74 credit (more than the cost of the printer!), plus 5 month trial and an extra month promo with 'freeink' which equates to 2years ink.... Jobsagooden!

Hi, For those who have purchased this deal can you help? I've just got the printer home from PCW and on registering the ink I only have the option for the 5 month trial & 1 extra month. Where do I find the code for the 2 years ink? Or am I missing something? TIA.

HP will be hoping people will set up a subsription, then after a while sell the printer, stop using it, or get a new one and then hope that they'll just forget to cancel the monthly payment.... surely thats where they're gonna make the money. Ogverall I'd rather go to the shop and buy a cartridge when i need it, not wait for them to post me one!

So for £59.98 do you get two years free ink? Seems a really good deal. Do you have to enter any codes when ordering, or one you have received the printer?
Thx

Any codes (referral and/or FREEINK) are added once you have received the printer - i.e. when setting up the printer and signing up for the instant ink trial.

Great deal, I bought the HP 8715 posted last week. As others have suggested use code FREEINK when registering to get an extra month free and by getting a referral code from someone else who already uses instant ink gets you (and them) a further free month. This model appears to be very similar to the HP envy printers with improved scanning and copying.

Remember that using code FREEINK when signing up for the instant ink trial gives an additional free month. Also, asking/finding a referral code gives another free month.

Another one who thinks this 'subscription ink' thing is not for me.
I have three printers now and wouldn't even dream of going down that road.
They'd need to be servicing the printer as well.
Very frustrating morning having to sort out someone else's subscription HP.
Took me ages getting onto the website to find out why the ink in the printer wouldn't work.
They had been subscribing for six months, couldn't get it to work after the first month
and went down to the local shop and bought the cartridges.
They were still paying the subscription until I cancelled it today. Never used it hardly.
So no, not recommended for the less savvy punter.

Nice. ADF is always handy.
I've got a way older version of this printer, same main functions anyway, but it doesn't have AirPrint.
My son is always bugging me about being able to print out stuff he has on his iPad so that might be useful.
Only thing I don't like about this is the tri-colour cartridge but I suppose the Instant Ink gets around that disadvantage.

There are other printers available with similar costs. For example an Epson ET-3600 for £200 comes with 8,500 colour pages worth of ink which works out at 2.35p per page over many more pages (this HP goes up to 3.5p per page after the 24 months/2400 pages). It also comes with 2,500 additional pages worth of black ink on top of that.
That will be the standard 20% coverage though, so full page images like photographs will be cheaper on this machine.
EndlessWaves
9 Mar 17#1
2400 pages at £60 works out at 2.4p per page.
That's nothing special generally but as you say it's good if you print out ink-heavy pages like photos a lot as Instant Ink only counts pages rather the ink use so the cost doesn't increase. It seems to get good reviews for photo quality too.
musical to EndlessWaves
9 Mar 171#2
It is a special price when the 2.4p price includes the cost of the consumables and the capital cost of a full-colour sheet-fed duplex printer/copier/scanner/fax.
