what part of my post makes you think I don't recycle? I have two blue recycle wheelie bins, one of which I paid for

my point was that this is a daft design for recycling bins, I don't require a liner as I actually wash my tins before recycling them (because I'm good at recycling)

this wouldn't make life easier due to the design, if you could lift up and empty the individual bins it would be ideal but as this is, it's not practical

wont even bother to respond to the rest of your reply, as we can all clearly see I'd be wasting my time, time which could be spent recycling

​Thats a design flaw about right. How does anyone think this is a good design. They could design them to attach to each other but still lift apart.

Good idea but .... recycling now use those wierd material square bags here now for each recycling material and not plastic bags anymore, so using bin liners would now defeat the object? And granted would be more of a hassle to have to take the liner out and empty into the recycling bags!?

my recycling bin doesn't get emptied if there's a plastic bag in view..

so you'd have to remove the liner from this, then empty that in to the recycling bin and then put the liner in another bin / put it back in this

easier than if there was no bin liner at all.

Our council has just one bin for all plastic/paper/metal recycling, so a carrier bag - 10p bag which can be replaced when it gets too tatty - works well for me!

​If you read the description in Argos. It's suggested that this setup does not required bin liners. It's for recycling which is good for the environment so the use of bin liners is a counter productive move. Anyway, simply it's not the best of designs in mine and many others options. I'm sure others will find it a useful asset.

Exactly.. clean your recycling properly and there's no need for a bag whatsoever. I just lift up the kitchen recycling bin and pour it into our main recycling bin. So I agree, this design is less than ideal for many. Whether you're a grown adult or not..

My point was and still is that you sir are a complaining baby, who is complaining about the bins liners. Op has posted a valid product which will be helpful to many.

The fact that you have an issue with bin liners is irrelevant.

The amount of fresh water you will waste cleaning your bins will far outway the environmental cost of using a bin liner.
Bin liners can help your bin last for 2-4 weeks without washing. Saving water.

Amazon have a set of three that are seprate for 19.65 surely they would be a better option

I think the government should supply them just saying.we pay enough council tax.

You could just buy individual bins. I have one for General waste and one for recycling. Easy to sort out when they go in either blue or brown bins for collection.

I read this post and decided it was the biggest pile of steaming compost I'd seen on here for many a year. Then binned it off.

It's very VERY simple! You empty the Bin Liners into ur corresponding Recycling Wheelie Bins outside, then the Council collects said recyclable items on a weekly/fortnightly/3weekly/monthly rotation.
T'is the way of the world and will be for generations to come, unless we all become useless, shallow, moaning windbags, such as yourself!

As has been said, that would be a hopeless system. A total waste of binbags and effort. This item is not fit for purpose and anyone with any common sense would see it immediately.

I have similar but with 2 bins, I re-use bag for life bags which last a while, one for paper, one for glass/tin/plastic, the mini bin black bags always tear with cardboard etc when removing them. Problem with this design with 3 bins is that to clean the bin in a sink etc would be awkward due to size, so probably better with individual bins.

Still think that most people would prefer a system without bin liners which would be visible at the top.
