Looks decent! Also looking like it's the V2 Model after reading Q&A and looking at previous post. I think the V1 had the z8750 chip in?
Anyway, you'll need to use code GB3RDGPD
I tried via the app, but code only works via main site, although the discount is actually better this way anyway. I've seen people playing Skyrim and all sorts on them, well worth checking out the videos on these if you're considering one. pretty nifty handheld, really.
Make sure you select the free delivery option, as looking at a previous post, you shouldn't get any extra charges.

Blanket stereotyping.
This spec is virtually the same as the Surface 3 - it has 4GB RAM and a Z8700 processor, not 1GB and the lower-end Z3735F.

Looks interesting. I might have been tempted by this if I hadn't bought a GPD XD recently.
Does seem like a pretty unique device.

heat. had one and was very impressed. because mine had a matte lid I think mine was a v2 even though it was a z8700 with Samsung drive, there seems to be lots of variations. couldn't justify holding onto it and the switch.

I've had mine for a week, my only towo complaints so far the speaker location and being mono and the HDMI mini port doesnt work. A lot of people have mentioned this and some have managed to use the USB C port via a Hub to HDMI and that works but I've yet to find one in the UK that has already been confirmed to work with the USB C to HDMI.
Why include a mini HDMI and not micro HDMI I dont understand or why not just have no HDMI out and instead a second USB 3.0 port and a USB C to HDMI cable inside.
Everything else has been great, I've only played one game Halo Online which is based on Halo 3 and much improved graphics it runs very well on medium to high settings.
If you are after a case any 3DS XL case fits these, and stick to using 2.5a plug not 3a not 2.1a those are too low and too high.
I was able to get it via the app fo this price using UK Express got delivered in 8 working days and no fees to pay ontop was post Jan 10th model and well packed so no damadge except a few minor dents in the box but only slightly.

They usualy have QA tested stock for GPD Win as for the warrantee these come with a GPD Win warrantee card inside with the booklet. Not sure if registratrion is required, but it has it's own paper work.

I wonder what the battery life is like with these? 2.5 hours on the Switch does not impress me..

It depends on what games and other usage and if bluetooth is enable and screen brightness settings.
Looking at 2.5 hours with 50% brightness fan on max and volume high at 70% with Halo Online set to the highest settings with bluetooth off and wifi gameplay enabled constant network connection. with 0% birghtness which still looks great looking at 4 hours. the fan needs to be at its fastest speed for more demanding games. If you are looking at 10 year old pc games you'd see 6 hours of battery.
Not sure why paying for postal insurance is ever needed if paying with PayPal and a credit card you are 100% protected and they should be liable anyway for loss and damadges.
EU Warehouse may not have post 10th Jan stock which is a must for major improvements to be worth having!

Gamers getting giddy again.
A 5.5" Chinese tablet would normally be about £60, but because it has a few 'gaming buttons' it's £240...

Okay, might have a half decent chip, but a Surface 3 ain't all that (the Pro being the 'proper' one) and pretty sure it doesn't have a 5.5" screen?

Nice device.
The Yoga Book runs the 8700 processor which is about the same speed but double the price, and in my view is quite slow.

Here is why it isn't a Surface 3 competitor;
plewis00
16 Mar 172#20
The Pro is twice the price and it was pretty obvious (or so I thought) that the screen size isn't what was up for debate here but I was referring to the core hardware. But if you're going to include the Surface Pro 3/4, might as well include the Surface Book with dGPU and desktops, because they're also much more powerful with bigger screens - don't really see what point you were trying to make...

Yeah, I believe the original comparison was with a £60 5.5in Chinese tablet, haha! Good luck with that.
My mate has one of these (or a variant thereof) and was comfortably running custom N64 games, like modded No Mercy, for example. Pretty impressive.

This looks like a great little device and the reviews it's getting on GearBest seems to suggest it performs pretty well. Gaming on a windows 10 tab is fairly good too. I picked up an i5 4GB ram 128GB SSD Dell Venue 11 pro end of last year and yeah, it has its moments as a tablet but it's played all the indie and oldie games I've thrown at. Use a Bluetooth controller and you're away.
I like how 'ezzer72' didn't have the guts to back up the original comment comparing this to an obviously totally different market segment tablet (that's also more expensive) but did come back to 'like' the comments about it being a waste of money or too expensive...

Exactly you will always get certain sorts out of the woodwork when non mainstream devices show up.
GPD Win isn't a £60 specification device, if you look at TV boxes with simular spec without a screen that are on Windows 10 with the same cpu and ram you'd be looking at £170+. This has HDMI out and a screen with a fan all in the size of a 3DS XL.
Do the math on what a Gorilla Glass 3 screen at 720p with touch and a speaker with microphone along with battery would be and I think £240 is more than a fare price. I got one for this price from the China warehouse it was post Jan 10th, I'd avoid the EU warehouse while its still older stock.

Hi, did anyone get one? I'm interested to know if you received a post Jan 10th revision of the GPD Win, with the matte lid and improved build quality on the shoulder buttons, from the EU warehouse? Or does the z8700 rather than z8750 mean it's an original version?
Also, is everyone happy shopping from Gearbest? I've never used them before but I see unhappy reviews from people on sites like Trustpilot where the goods weren't delivered and they can't get a refund. Looks a bit scary so wanted to hear from others before thinking about ordering. Thanks!

Personally have just ordered from the EU site since with the discount I think £240 is a fair price - the site confirms its the z8700 but that may not be a bad thing, the z8700 and z8750 have very little difference between the two power wise and some reviews actually suggest the z8700 may be faster in some situations/more stable since they originally struggled to get the z8750 to run properly
Similarly build issues dont seem to be solely on the rev.1 model, seen some rev.2 models reported with issues. Personally I think im happier ordering from the EU so I definitely wont pay import tax and also I guess it would be an easier return/would have paid less in the first place if it turns out to be faulty!

System says it has 8700 and Samsung storage so very happy as the older Samsung storage is quicker than the newer Toshiba.
"Dispatched" Friday, delivered today by Royal Mail and with weekend in between. Tracking never worked till yesterday lunch time so I imagine the warehouse (which seems to be in Birmingham) didn't actually post till Monday.
Very very happy!

Just set steam up on mine and purchased the Valve Complete pack from CD Keys for a bargain 14 quid.
Only issue I can see with mine so far is a tiny scratch (about 2mm) in the front right corner of the lid, right near the edge. It's the kind you can feel with your nail. Must have came with it on, but not that fussed as I have seen reviews on Youtube of people with similar or worse QC issues with the case.

Thanks for the updates, yes there have been a number of horror stories around but its always hard to judge how prevalent issues are as its always the people with issues who are commenting - good to hear the EU stock has a good chance of sending out updated devices, as mentioned the differences between the 8700 and 8750 apparently aren't worth worrying about

One other point/use not mentioned here - the joypad is wired in to be recognized as an xbox one controller so as well as running windows games it can also work as a remote games controller for an xbox one running the xbox app, planning to stream games when I am at home and the TV is being used/when I want to lie on the bed, and then run windows games when travelling
PS4 remote play is possible but not with the built in controller

Just received mine from the EU warehouse which appears to be a weird hybrid of "old" specs and "new" specs. 8700 processor, matte lid, Samsung storage and only 2 lines of text on the rear.
I'm happy with it other than the physical keyboard has the B and N keys in the wrong place. I haven't heard of this issue before - not sure if it affects all units or I've just had a dodgy QC unit.
