Never bought from wuaki before - I can see it's a VOD service so is there any contractual obligation / hidden subscription when buying from them?

Sorry to jump on your thread but what's better a chromecast or firestick please? Just in two minds whether to buy this one. thank you
IMHO, the Firestick by far. I have giveb my Chromecasts away because they're rubbish compared to the Firestick.
Having said that, it does depend on what you want to do with them.

If you're interested in the fire stick, I would hold on a few weeks for the updated version that comes with an Alexa remote!

better off getting a firestick to put kodi on for an extra tenner

Or save yourself an extra tenner if you've got an Android phone/tablet and 'stream' KODI content to a Chromecast. You just need ES File Explorer, LocalCast, KODI (with the PlayerFactoryCore XML file pasted into the KODI userdata folder) installed and then you can cast media from KODI to the Chromecast.

But when you cast, it buffers alot more than when connected directly to TV

To be honest, I've not tried streaming KODI. I stream via Plex though and it handles 1080p fine from a server in Germany, i.e. no buffering issues. My Chromecast is right next to the router which might help. I don't know why KODI would be any different though as you just send links to Chromecast

None at all. Just brought one last night. It gives you a code to use on google store and delivery is included.

Is anyone seeing any offers with their existing Chromecasts? I used to get loads on the 1st gen but added a 2nd gen and nothing? The new home app doesn't help either.

Not sure if this in store too
