New for 2017 comes the brilliant Creators Update! Looks good on the Insiders Ring, I can tell you! But (say) you forgot to upgrade from Windows 7 or 8? You can use my link to upgrade for free - you can still get Windows 10 for free as an upgrade.
Then you'll get the Creators operating system in a couple of weeks (also free).
Microsoft ended their year long free Windows 10 upgrade program for consumer customers on 29 July 2016 just prior to the release of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update in early August.
There is however, one group of customers that still have access to that free Windows 10 upgrade. If someone is on Windows 7 or 8.1 and they use Assistive Technologies then the upgrade is still accessible.
Just click the Microsoft Official link - there is no check that you are using Assistive Technology, it's just a free upgrade.
I love how they say " forgot to update ".... I NEVER forgot, I just would NEVER EVER have that windows 10 crap in my machine.. windows 7/8.1 FTW

Because it's spyware nonsense. It isn't compatible with older hardware and it updates its self when ever it feels like it. At the same time turning all the spying **** back one each time...
That's all disabled in the creator update once its switched off its off. And the update issue is fixed.
I'm a beta tester for Msoft and W10 since before it was even released and on the forums the "spying" issues have been raised by many and as I mentioned. It has been addressed.

You can still get windows 10 for free using any existing win 7 or 8 license just by downloading the ISO direct from Microsoft. After the "free update" deadlines last year it was re-enabled with the anniversary update, whether intentional or not I don't know but works a treat still - even as a clean install!

That is not true - unless you mean by being addressed carrying on largely as they did do before. MS have been seen to be renaming telemetry services to defeat blocking. Only a few months ago they've had to tweak the telemetry to avoid being sued under Swiss Law. I think they have a portal up to show what is collected and in theory you can ask for deletion. That to me is not being addressed.

Microsoft is making a big bet on 3D creativity with the Creators update. This is the company that bought Minecraft, after all.
A new Paint 3D application included with Windows 10 allows you to work with and create 3D models. You can scan an object with a smartphone using the “Windows Capture 3D Experience” and then insert it into a Paint 3D scene and modify it. Microsoft showed this off using a Windows Phone, but said it envisioned this being possible on any device—in other words, iPhone and Android users should be able to do this, too.
The Microsoft Edge browser now supports 3D content. It can be used to upload and download 3D models—including models exported from Minecraft and SketchUp—from Remix3D, a community website created by Microsoft. Windows can then print any type of 3D model to a 3D printer, which means Minecraft players can bring their creations into the real world.
Windows now comes with a “View 3D Preview” app that allows everyone to open 3D models, view, rotate around, and zoom in. Currently, it supports .fbx and .3mf file types.
Microsoft PowerPoint gains 3D models and cinematic 3D animations for transitions like Morph, so those 3D models can be incorporated into presentations. Microsoft will be adding more 3D features to Office applications like Word and Excel over the next year.

Windows Update will see some huge changes, with Microsoft adding options many Windows users have been begging for.
You can now pause updates for up to 35 days. You’ll find this option at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Advanced Options > Pause Updates. This setting is only available on the Professional, Enterprise, and Education editions of Windows 10—not Windows 10 Home.
You can also choose to avoid driver updates when updating Windows, preventing Windows Update from messing with your drivers. You’ll also find this option at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Advanced Options > Pause Updates. Again, it’s only available on the Professional, Enterprise, and Education editions of Windows 10—not Windows 10 Home.
If you do have the Home edition of Windows 10, there is one helpful new change. You can now set up to 18 hours of the day as your Active Hours, so Windows 10 won’t restart for updates during those hours. Previously, the maximum was 12 hours. Windows Update also attempts to detect whether the PC display is being used for something—projecting, for example—before automatically restarting the PC.
A new Unified Update Platform makes Windows Update faster when searching for available updates. Microsoft expects the size of a new major update like the Anniversary Update or Creators Update should be about 35% smaller, leading to faster downloads and reduced data usage.
And finally, you can now set wired Ethernet connections as metered from Settings > Network & Internet > Ethernet. This prevents Windows from automatically downloading updates and using other unnecessary data on a connection with limited data. This previously required a registry hack.

It's not like saying that at all. It's saying I want an operating system that communicates with my hardware and allows me to run software that is of use to me. Just like I can with my current Windows 7. Just because the business model has changed because Microsoft knows it can make more money out of its customers by harvesting personal data and selling it onto third parties or use it themselves to sell you crap you don't want. All I and many more people want is an operating system that is stable and private.... Like windows 7...i would pay a 150 quid for a version of Windows 10 that was stable compatible truly customisable and private.

Microsoft has made the Windows 10 Creators Update, the third major feature update for Windows 10, available for early access ahead of its official roll out via Windows Update which is scheduled for 11 April 2017.
If you are an early adopter like many of our readers, then you can go ahead and install the new update on your Windows 10 systems and enjoy the new features and enhancements immediately.
As of today you can use the Media Creation Tool (MCT) from Microsoft to download the Creators Update, Build 15063, and either perform an in-place upgrade to create separate installation media on a USB flash drive or a DVD for installing the update on other machines. This same installation media can also be used to perform a clean install of Windows 10 on a properly licensed device.

There's a way to DISABLE Microsoft's Windows 10's 'spying' on you (Spybot Search & Destroy type Software aside?), via your own methods right?.

Even Microsoft admitted some wrong doing in the whole Win10 push But this new operating system is so controversial, you really have to ask yourself why they are giving it away for free.
It is just a marketplace, with the sWindows Store trying to push you into buying things, the old shady tactic of forcing a browser down your neck and so on.
Some also describe this OS as spyware.

You can disable any updates on Windows 10 , Not the easiest to achieve but it can be done by anyone ,How can a background be "scary" ? ? On what planet is that actually possible ? Your opinion might be that Windows 10 is terrible but my opinion is its by far the best version of Windows yet. Yes if you leave everything at default there is a lot of "Spyware" issues but once you go in and turn things off and disable others its totally fine. You probably use Facebook and Google but have no issues with the vast amounts of data they are using from you.

Something could be wrong with the downloaded installation file (corruption) / disc you burned / USB drive you installed from - even the hard drive you're installing to & the system RAM.
If not already done, doublecheck the download (verify the MD5 sum), burn the disc at a lower rate (2x/4x) (if applicable) & check all the hardware used is fault-free - run FULL diagnostic scans for the hard drive, USB drive (if applicable) & system RAM.
