This looks an unusually great value trip for July 2018 to some lovely places and is also ideal for those in teaching jobs etc as I believe it falls in half term (the ship is adults only). Strangely, an outside cabin is cheaper than an inside which makes this especially good value. Departs and returns to Harwich so great for those who don't like to fly.
The itinerary looks really good too, visiting some lovely places in Iceland and the west fjords too in Akureyri. Peak summer weather so near 24hrs of daylight.

Nope, but you can organise your own excursions I would guess. It's on mine too after I did Antarctica.
Let me see if I can find the list of excursions.

Hmm not much luck finding brochures for excursions on this itinerary, this was the only thing I found here

Oh right so there is no excursions included unlike some other cruises

No, we had them included in Antarctica but that is because you have to as they are wet landings and you can't get outside companies to do tours as you are so isolated. It was also more than double this cost.

There is one from Hull for a couple of hundred pounds more pp.

Which then has Harwich as its first stop

Very small ship and over 50 years old. Not for me, however some people do like it

I'd imagine, stop me if i'm wrong, the outside cabin is cheaper because it's colder?

Looks like it may have been a pricing error. Outside cabins are generally always more expensive than insides.

I also think its because of that lol

I've never considered Greenland (did Norway up to Northern Cape in Midsummer 2015). Always wanted to do Alaska for the wildlife - anyone know if this would be as good?

I've been to Alaska, it depends what wildlife you are looking for?

Whales - Orca especially. Birds. Anything really. The Alaskan cruises do tend to talk about wildlife sightings. I'm enjoying photography as a new hobby, so anything interesting I can capture in the lens!

Saw some whales in Alaska, in particular in Juneau. The best was Antarctica by far, lots of whales, several different breeds of penguins, birds, seals etc etc. The wildlife was truly amazing. Flocks of literally thousands of king penguins in South Georgia, it was exactly like something out of Frozen Planet.
I don't have access to my pics at the moment, but this was exactly as it was.
If you can time your trip with the hatching season like we did, baby penguins are the cutest!

We cruised from Buenos Aires to Los Angeles last March including the Falklands. The wildlife was truly amazing. It definitely "makes" the cruise for me so just wondered about Greenland as it cuts out the long haul flights which my husband hates and is considerably cheaper than Alaska.

If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for the Antarctica cruise? I'd love to go there

If the itinery doesn't involve observing anything in a bikini then it's a no from me.
