Every day the locations are revealed at 2pm for the following day. you can only get the free latte between 1-2. Just turn up and ask for it. It doesn't state, but guessing it may include extras free as well like syrups, whipped cream, coconut milks, drizzles etc, as the pictures of all different drinks hint at this. If you're in London you can have a coffee crawl (and hopefully other cities too). Of course, you could give the drink to a homeless person if you don't like coffee/don't want it at the time/irrationally hate Starbucks for being excellent at running a business which changed British high streets for the better.

Yes, the majority would avoid paying tax if I'm honest, it's just human nature!

You have missed the point, they are excellent at running a business, nobody said they are excellent at making coffee or taking care for employees.

If the whole premise of a shop is that they sell good coffee then i would expect them to sell good coffee.

But they sell bland bitter coffee and their mere presence on the high Street hampers opportunities for good coffee shops, so my hatred is very rationally founded :sunglasses:


Oh and the fact that they have hoodwinked the masses into thinking their coffee is good is good business but morally dubious just like their tax situation.

Sometimes I find the stores aren't aware of these 'just ask' offers...

That is absolutely the case- and it works well, I find. The staff aren't getting fed up of handing out freebies, like some of them can do, and it's all the more for us. It shows there can be a low take-up = more for us!

Whilst northern Ireland is approx 500 square miles larger than Yorkshire, it has a population of less than 1.9 million as opposed to nearly 5.4 million. I reckon that puts things into perspective. Cambridge has a population of approx 124000 so by that reckoning will be years before they deserve a free Starbucks. I don't really like coffee

Just been in Stratford branch was told you need a voucher!

The majority of my now quiet office are now successfully getting coffees at Bothwell Street in Glasgow.

I was there as well the lady was adamant and when I wanted to reconfirm she asked another colleague, He confirmed that I should have applied before 1pm and printed the voucher thats how sure they were I believed them thinking I missed read or didn't read the T&C's which I found out now that there is no small T&C's just as it says on the main page just turn up and ask....

so disappointing that I had to walk a little extra from my break and still these uninformed idiots didn't know....

I will write to Starbucks and hope they will issue a complimentary voucher, hope you do it too and more the merrier to push the information to the manager of the store for the misinformation. They can fight it out between themselves who is right....

I saw the offer of the offer on HUKD

I was at the London Stratford branch yesterday between the hours of 1-2pm to join the popup party. When I asked one lady about the Party she said I needed to apply before 1pm and come with a voucher. She was very adamant and when I wanted to reconfirm few time she even asked another of her colleague he also said I needed a voucher. I even asked whether I needed to a Starbucks membership card and she said no just the printed voucher. I made special arrangements to join the party.

At the time I didn't challenge further and left without trying the coffee on offer.

Further to my disappointment there were others who were turned away. One comment mentions he/she was able to show the advert on your website and no where it mentions a voucher needs to be applied for or download.


I am disappointed that other comments shows other branches didn't have this requirement and that the Lon-Stratford wasn't updated that the offer is with or without the production of a voucher.

Got told at the Hammersmith Broadway Centre branch that they aren't taking part in the pop up party, even though I showed the website on my phone to them which clearly stated today's date and their branch on the list :disappointed:

If that happened to me I'd stand there call Starbucks Customer Service on 020 8834 5050 and tell them to deal with the issue there and then. Customer Service are often engaged though but if they were to answer be interesting to see who cracked first. If that didn't work moaning on Twitter is a good one. Of course all of this takes time and some front!

To be fair the shop staff are often poorly briefed as has been pointed out earlier. In the end they and their their managers are representing the company very badly.

Tomorrow's list now on. Manchester branch is St. Ann's Sq. Loving touring Starbucks for 10 days, it's fulfilling me.

I felt a failure for not having another coffee shot, coconut milk and at least one other syrup, and all four drizzle flavours. I'm sad they don't have mocha flavoured whipped cream (or "whip" as they call it) or another such cream. Additionally there ate no crunchy sprinkles at the moment like crushed up waffle biscuits. I could have had java chips on.

Well worth writing to them. I will do my duty of giving the my address as requested and the best thing will be I don't have to go between the hours of 1-2pm. I can now choose when to go. As there will be at least two I can use them on diff times as I choose....
