Awful food and service at Ed,s in Basildon. Luckily it's gone now. We sent a complaint to them and never got a reply. Would never go to another Ed,s. Voted cold as even if it's free I don't think it's good value.

I love Ed's!
Five Guys is ok too, Ed's has much better atmosphere. Burgers maybe better in Five Guys but everything else better in Ed's imho.
My favourite burger place is Shake Shack. I'd never say no to a free burger! Heat added! :smile:

so did I. one in Reading oracle closed down. burgers and hot dogs were terrible and even worse than five guys and McDonald's

Five guys do the best burgers, pricey, but the best
I've no idea what you've eaten at five guys but it wasn't one of there burgers or hotdogs if you think there worse than ed's.
Ed's burgers are crap.. that's why they struggled to stay a float.
Five guys on the other hand have opened a new store every month almost

The chain went into administration and the owner of the Giraffe chain of restaurants bought the chain but closed some of the Eds Diners.

Guess that's no burger for me!
Five Guys is ok too, Ed's has much better atmosphere. Burgers maybe better in Five Guys but everything else better in Ed's imho.
