I bought a load of these before Christmas when they were 49p. None of the 20 packets worked!!!! Have you checked the ones you bought yet?

You tried 20 packs of batteries and not a single one worked?? You sure there wasn't a problem with the device you were trying them in? :stuck_out_tongue:

Mine were exp 03/2018 and 2023!!! Still didn't work - took them back and after being passed from pillar to post I rang customer services who refunded me.

Yep - tried them in several different devices to double check it was the batteries and not the devices. I went to Poundland and bought some Kodak batteries and they made every device work. The Energizer batteries did nothing at all - didn't work in TV remotes, various torches and childrens toys. Couldn't believe it!!!! Thought I was going to end up on Candid Camera/Beadle's About.

Just been to the Superdrug in Leek and they'd got a few packs of these Energiser AAA batteries and also the AA versions just sat on top of the battery stand. Asked them to scan them at the till and can confirm both AAA and AA are scanning at 12p
Had the last packs in Leek sorry

the batteries were charged lower than advertised... usually I like mine with a high charge

It's possible that they hadn't been stored correctly in the warehouse as they were purchased from 4 different stores. The same warehouse delivers to the 4 stores - customer services thought that possibly a whole batch were "duds". I emailed Energizer to let them know in case they were aware of any recall but 3 weeks later and I still haven't had a reply.

Will have to give mine a try - was this with the AAA versions?
